I was raised in rural Idaho. After graduating high school in a class of 19 students, I left the country behind for the Boise area. After living there for more than 25 years, my husband's job took us to Pittsburgh, PA. There, I followed my passion for massage by graduating from a terrific massage therapy school and practicing as a licensed massage therapist at a wellness center.
You will receive a customized blend of massage styles to relieve tension and pain while relaxing both mind and body, based on a pre-session discussion about your current and past pain issues, injuries, and treatment goals. I may integrate a few hot stones or steamed towels (maybe both!) into your massage as luxurious, no-cost add-ons.
I understand that you may feel uneasy about receiving your first massage or on your first visit to a new therapist. Here are a few suggestions to help you feel at ease and gain the greatest benefit from your massage therapy session. Tell the therapist about areas of your body that are injured, tense or sore.

I had a great massage by Dee. It took me a second to figure out how to find her once I arrived at the address, but not that big a deal. There's a sign by the road, but the entrance to the salon doesn't make it clear that it's also the entrance for massages. Once inside though, I felt welcomed and was brought back to the massage room. The room is bright, clean, and tidy. Very nice. We chatted for a few minutes about lifestyle and complaints and she listened well. Her massage was a good pressure. Not too deep, but still firm. She did a great job finding the pain points and working on them. Highly

I had a great session with Dee on Saturday. I went in with a tense upper and neck and a headache and left feeling like melted butter. The treatment room Had a nice cozy feel with good music and a soothing water fountain. The rest of the building was bright and cheery and very clean. I would highly recommend Dee to anyone looking for a deeply relaxing experience.

The great thing about Dee is that she's skilled in a variety of techniques; depending on what you need or want from a therapeutic massage, she can can deliver. I wanted a relaxing massage on my most recent visit, but other times I need deeper work on my lower back or other areas. I like her new space, too -- very comfortable in a charming location within Jason'Salon in downtown Corvallis. I highly recommend Dee!
