Ever since Lee Taylor founded a-TaylorMade Window as a manufacturer and installer of windows in 1972, the company has focused on attaining complete customer satisfaction through methodical project management. We have more vinyl window experience than just about anyone in the Bay Area. In 1989, three years after IBM systems engineer Steve Kenyon purchased the company, a-TaylorMade Window began manufacturing vinyl windows.

In 1999, a-TaylorMade Window discontinued the manufacturing of both their aluminum and vinyl windows due to the rapid changes in the window industry, and focused attention on the installation side of the business, by expanding their lines of window and door options from other manufacturers. Steve's wife, Cathy, joined the a-TaylorMade Window organization as office manager in 2003.
Services
Window and door upgrading is a fundamentally important home improvement strategy, and no one in the Bay Area has more collective expertise than a-TaylorMade Window. We are known as the best window replacement in San Francisco, CA, Berkeley, Richmond, CA, and the surrounding area.

We're a premier San Francisco Bay Area residential window and door contractor, locally owned and factory authorized to stock and install lines of technologically advanced products. Our enduring track record of customer satisfaction is attributable to our four decades of experience. Custom "tailored" windows and doors will improve your home's aesthetics, energy efficiency and safety.
If your windows rattle from the wind, or if you can hear street noise through them, it's time to silence them. If your windows are fogged, or cracked, they need replacement. If you can feel a breeze indoors even when your windows are shut, they're wasting your precious (and expensive) energy. If your windows no longer keep moisture outside, they're damaging the interior of your home.
Windows are available in a broad array of styles and designs to suit different types of structures, climates, uses, and ease of operation and cleaning. Our consultants will help you choose the window design that is ideally suited to your aesthetic, functional and budgetary goals. Awning windows, which are hinged at the top, open outward and resemble an awning.
Just as homes are finished with various exterior surfaces, including wood, stucco and brick, window frames are manufactured using different materials: vinyl, wood, aluminum, fiberglass and wood-clad. Your choice will be influenced by the architectural style and color of your home, window functions, durability, your budget, and other factors.
Proper installation of windows is critically important. Even windows with the most advanced designs won't perform up to specifications if they're incorrectly or hastily installed. The expert installation crew at A-Taylor Made Window takes no shortcuts. Every one of us at A-Taylor Made Window believes that no job is worth doing unless it's done with precision.

The rep who came, Alex, was the most honest I've ever experienced. Thank you , Alex, for helping me be realistic about my old , but classic windows. All other window companies simply wanted to sell me new windows.

A-Taylor Made Window provides excellent customer service, the kind that you can only find at a locally-owned business like this. Bill, Cathy, Maria and everyone else that we worked with were helpful and friendly every step of the way. We've worked with a lot of different contractors for our house, but this is the first company we've worked with that I highly recommend.
I'm thrilled with our new windows. We got the Simonton Daylite Max white windows. I was worried about getting vinyl windows, but they look very good and they have greatly improved our insulation and sound.
