CCTC conducts a personal assessment with every prospective customer to know their physical and mental condition, needs, interests, and other important personal information to determine a care partner who will best meet the service and scheduling needs.This is how we make a difference every day in the lives of those we serve.

Geriatric assessment is designed to evaluate an older person's functional abilities, general physical health, cognition, and mental health as well as social circumstances for evaluating daily activities like hearing, balance, cognition, among other important geriatric assessment. A complete assessment is initiated most likely when an elderly has a potential problem such as confusion, falls, incontinence, or mobility issues.
As we age, we are more likely to develop chronic conditions or multiple ones, this comes with a requirement of several prescription drugs. For some elderly people, managing their medication can be a hard practice, especially when handling several medications from more than one prescribe, these come with a risk of side effects, accidentally doubling or missing doses or other issues.

Words fail me when it comes to describing the level of care and support I received from Companion Care of the Treasure Coast. My mother's primary care giver had a 10-day holiday planned with her family during Christmas 2021. My mother has terminal cancer and uses a wheelchair and walker to get around and requires respite care. My family and I scrambled to find someone to care for her during that time. It was difficult to find a company to care for her at our home short term, especially when there is already a shortage of staff and COVID.

Companion Care stepped in at a moment's notice when my Dad declined and was miserable in a nursing facility. They had him set up at home within 48 hours, and assisted with the transition every step of the way. We could not have done it without them! The caregivers are caring, knowledgeable, personable, and professional.
The communication is outstanding. The caregivers log notes about my Dad, and Jeff is always available to answer questions. Jeff has also spent time educating our family about navigating this very complex situation.

Companion care is a wonderful place to find kind, caring and warm caregivers. The management is very easy to work with and will do everything possible to make the experience flawless. Jeff Westcott always responds to any questions or concerns I have with kindness and professionalism.
The best part is the relationship that is formed between the caregiver and patient. They truly care about about the well-being of the patient.
