The Healthy Bed Store is a division of Progressive Health Solutions, Inc. - a family-owned corporation and organic and natural mattress store dedicated to the development and marketing of home therapy products for people dealing with chronic pain and health issues. The company was founded in 2004 by Wayne Franson, a nationally-certified massage therapist and John F. Barnes trained Myofascial Release therapist.
Savvy Rest can now say that all of their layered latex mattresses are officially GOTS certified organic with or without Talalay latex. GOTS requires the latex inside a certified organic mattress to either contain Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) latex, like our Dunlop, or latex that meets an official standard for forest stewardship.
Our Shikifutons are lightweight and easily fold to make storage and maintenance easier. Get more out of your space during the day and have a comfortable place to sleep at night. This is our finest line of Traditional Japanese Style Shikifuton mattresses, made locally with the purest and natural ingredients.

I would give zero stars if I could.
Wayne messed up my order, never let me know the machine broke and my order would be late, then shipped it to a different address.
When I called to ask what happened and when I would get my bed, he was rude and raising his voice at me. He made errors and had the audicity to give me attitude.
I should never have bought a bed from here. No wonder they are going out of business.

Sadly, we have had an AWFUL experience with Wayne and the Healthy Bed Store. We encountered a problem with everything we ordered: Our bed frame arrived defective, they sent us the wrong mattress and our topper allegedly got lost in the mail and arrived more than a month late. The replacement mattress arrived without any labeling so we had no way of confirming whether it was in fact the correct one. When we relayed these issues and expressed our dissatisfaction, Wayne was accusatory and defensive. He seemed more interested in keeping our money "based on his no return policy", than doing

I was lucky enough to get an organic latex mattress with box springs on a moving sale price. They set up 18 month financing. We also bought a reclinable be frame on sale, that also was very high quality. We also ordered risers to make the bed higher so we could easily vacuum under it because the frame is extremely heavy steel. Installation was very professional as well, they were very careful not to damage anything and since they were rushed offered to come back to set up the entire bed for free. This is the best mattress I have ever had. If that wasn't enough, they sent a box of brownies

We drove from Davis to Folsom for this store because of its commitment to the health of its customers and the quality of its products. The staff, Wayne, and especially Deven, were terrific. Deven spent a great deal of time fitting us for the bed as we dithered over one thing and another. Delivery was done well. And they were willing to work with us as we swapped out layers to ensure a proper fit after delivery. Highly recommended.

I just love my new mattress. I went in with another one in mind and Wayne introduced me to his new line. The Rainier is awesome. It has been almost 5 months so I was waiting to see if it would make a difference and it really does! I feel supported head to toe, yet it's soft and shaping. I have fewer aches and pains and sleep really well.
I can't do the 5 stars because of a couple things. The fabric of the mattress is slippery and noisy with the recommended mattress cover so I had to put a sheet in between. The line was new, there was no paperwork but my printed receipt. Yeah, it&apos

We are so happy with our experience here! Wayne was so helpful answering all my questions and assisting me with my decision. I researched mattresses online beforehand but I had a hard time finding a place I could go see them myself in person before I found this store. I'm so grateful I found it! My son is so happy with his bed. It's SO comfortable and I feel good knowing it's a healthy organic choice. We will be back in a few years for my daughter's bed too. I previously reviewed this place when I bought a bed for my 4 year old. It was a great experience then and a great experience this time around as well. After purchasing my son's bed I fell in love with the latex beds and promised I'd be back to purchase a new bed as soon as I could afford it. We have had our new king size bed for 2 months and it has been fantastic. Wayne and Claudia really care about their customers! They both explained in detail the difference between the bed in a box memory foam bed and the upgraded latex bed pure bliss. We wanted a longer lasting bed that was not made of petroleum products so we went with the pure bliss and upgraded to a King and it is still cheaper than sleep number and tempurpedic. They even stayed pass their closing time to help us with the financing.

After exhausting myself with TONS of Internet research on beds, I decided I wanted as healthy of a bed that I could afford.
Claudia and the staff were extremely helpful, they spent a lot of time educating me about the importance of a healthy bed, different latex, foams, toppers, etc. I spent 3 hours on a Saturday and came back on Sunday and spent a few more hours. In the end, I found the products and service at this store far superior to anything else on my list. It's a one stop shop. They have several different brands all under one roof that were favorites on my "wish list" which included Bed in a Box, Organic Pedic by OMI, and Pure Bliss Latex.

Wayne and Claudia are really nice, honest people, and were a pleasure to work with. No pressure at all, but there to answer any questions we had. We were there enough times that we might have started to qualify as part-time employees, but hey, it isn't easy picking a new mattress! Good prices (relatively speaking -- these aren't bargain basement goods), and a decent selection of latex foam mattresses (along with some other types, too -- and stuff like pillows, etc.). It was a long process, but we are very satisfied with our purchase and very happy with the service they provided.

Going to make this as short and sweet as possible. The wife and I were looking for a new bed, something besides spring beds. We found that no matter how good of a spring bed you buy, eventually it wears down and the pressure points begin. So off we went to look for a new bed. I found www.bedsinabox.com online and was real iffy about buying a bed online. Well great news is we found that there are only 2 locations in California that sell them in a showroom. I bought a clearance, top-of-the-line, Simmons innerspring mattress from a huge mattress retailer here in Northern California, so I can totally relate to the reviewer above about the "Mattress Oddysey". I've been calling it my Mattress Journey. Anyhow, after a few weeks I became disillusioned with the mattress for many reasons, primarily because it was defective, and decided I would return it. Before I went to return it I mattress shopped, A LOT, and ended up choosing a PureLatexBliss mattress from The Healthy Bed Store in Folsom.

Before buying a mattress (REM Sleep Solutions, Paradise model) from this store we went to two other stores, the Sleep Train at Howe and Arden, and European Sleep Design in Folsom. The staff at those stores were as helpful and informed about their products, as Wayne and Claudia were about theirs, and I won't diss them here. We tried most of their mattress in their stores and were getting confused by the different types and models. However, after we finished trying several more mattresses at the HBS, we realized we really liked the memory foam style, of which Tempur-Pedic is the best known

In order to fully understand our mattress odyssey, please see my review of Sleep Train in Rocklin. Suffice it to say, we had a really eye-opening experience. "Conventional mattresses" (I guess it would be rude to call them what they really are) are made of crap and the stores that sell them are part of a racket. Just one consumer's opinion...
I found a store in the Bay Area that makes their own mattresses. Spoke to a colleague who wasn't over the moon about the bed from them. We were feeling a bit desperate and out of viable options for non-toxic sleep solutions.
