This (poor excuse for a) company has a $29 for $295-worth-of-services offer on Groupon. My appointment for a simple six-foot dryer-vent clean has been cancelled three times by Elliot's Air Care (or Air Duct Cleaning and Chimney Cleaning Services as it sometimes refers to itself) since I first contacted it in December; twice it cancelled my… appointment *during* the appointment slot time and the final time it was at 9pm the night before the 8am appointment.
What's very interesting about the ethics of the company is it redeemed the Groupon deal on the day the first appointment was scheduled

They have an offer on Groupon. ($46 for $460 of services) The offer is just BAIT to get them to your home. I told them SPECIFICALLY what I needed done (live birds/nest removal in fireplace/chimney)in ADDITION to the Groupon on the phone BEFORE setting the appointment. I was told it would be an additional $79. I said okay. TOTAL AMOUNT being $125.… They came here and told me it would be $450 for the live birds/ nest removal, and an additional $1100 for the chimney sweep, replacement cap b/c my chimney was longer than 10ft, (Most houses are) and duct cleaning. We said no, but negotiated with
