Dr. Klein and Dr. Robinson first met during their residency at Yale, where they received top-tier training from leaders in medicine. They each went on to gain experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, while participating in cutting edge research, and presentations locally and around the world.
Modern Dermatology is invested in our local community and has designated Near & Far Aid as our official charity partner. We are proud to support the all-volunteer organization, which grants over $1 million each year to improve the lives of children, families and individuals affected by poverty in Fairfield County.

I am not surprised to find a 3 star rating here - or that the last 6 months of google reviews are negative. They are very rude and dismissive or your concerns straight out of the gate. I am so sick of clinics run by women being so rude to women! You are a dermatologist's office, if you don't like listening to various concerns people have about their skin - find a new profession. I went in there hoping to come out with a plan for my skin, and just got their products thrown at me and a doctor who looked at me like she didn't understand what I was asking her. My entire family and I go to Modern Dermatology and are incredibly happy with the quality of care we receive. Most recently, my mom brought my brother, who has autism and an intellectual disability, in to see Dr. Klein. The entire staff (reception, medical assistants, Dr. Klein herself, and checkout) couldn’t have possibly been any nicer throughout the entire appointment. The team at Modern Derm ALWAYS has a smile on their face! The place is not a medical dermatology office. We booked an appointment weeks in advance, and asked if they did a specific simple medical procedure. The front desk assured us that they can do it in-house. During the visit the doctor instead referred us to a "real" dermatology office. Long story short - this place is great if you need to botox your armpit and left earlobe or whatever, but for proper medical care I recommend you go elsewhere.

I'm torn on this posting because doctors at Modern Dermatology are fantastic. And, I must add that there are a few (newer) administration folks who are also quite good. But I have had terrible experiences with some of the front-line employees. Even during regular hours, the phones go to voice mail often. Then, patients get a call back from a horrifically rude non-medical individual who has clearly not listened to the voice mail (...and behaves as if she is doing an enormous favor by calling the patient back). It is the typical "gargoyles at the gate" situation and it makes me cringe at the thought

I could not write enough great things about this practice. Dr. Robinson, Dr. Klein, Dr. Antonov, and Dr. Eickhorst are some of the most talented, knowledgeable, caring, and dependable physicians I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. For starters- the office is PRISTINE. They genuinely went to great lengths to ensure patients and customers feel safe, reassured, and comfortable during this pandemic. Was a previous patient with Dr. Robinson at Connecticut Dermatology decided to follow her to her new practice but unfortunately has not been a great experience, I asked many times for accommodation in scheduling to see her for that is the reason I changed over and I kept being scheduled with her colleague Dr. Klein she was nice but did not feel the connect of patient and provider and felt my issues where not listened to but dismissed quickly, I was given product from the office that I was allergic too based off of testing I had with them and would have preferred instead of selling me their product

Dr was 10/10, addressed my concerns and renewed prescriptions needed. However office experience was extremely frustrating. Was given lots of conflicting info regarding the cosmetic consult deposit between making the appointment, confirming the appointment, and then day of. Wish it was a fairer policy or at least consistently communicated...there are plenty of derms and medspas with much better policies esp. for consults. :(

I wanted to share my experience that I had while attempting to make an appointment. I was on the phone scheduling an appointment was placed on hold, and then disconnected. I tried calling back to finishing scheduling an appointment and no one answered. I should also add that the receptionist had already taken most of my information including my telephone number. So, I would assume that I would receive a call back. The receptionist asked who I was referred by, I responded by saying: I prefer not to say. Not sure why that is a problem? It was a mutual friend, so I don’t know the persons last name

I recently had a MOHS surgery procedure in New York City where I live and then went to Westport Ct for vacation. A few days after I arrived in Westport I noticed a lot of swelling and redness around the incision. My immediate concerns were infection. I remembered seeing the Modern Dermatology building so I drove over, explained my concerns, and that my dermatologist was fifty miles away and was told a supervisor would be out to see me. I saw Dr Robinson twice in 2019. The first time I didn't love the results, but the second time i asked her for more and her second injection worked beautifully.
i returned after being fully vaccinated.
Her staff took photos Etc.
i asked Dr Robinson to inject the same area. This time she Injected me a couple of inches lower, near my mouth!
So after $2,000 , I still look gaunt a month later and the area around my mouth is puffy

I had to up my stars for Juliana alone. The communication skills and staff is still not up to par with other places along with the cold and sterile environment (not spa like at all) but I can't get enough of Juliana. This place is SO lucky to have her. She is trained medically and does the best facials. Go see her and thank me ;) . Prices great too!

Modern Dermatology is a wonderful practice! The office is fresh and chic, and the entire staff is always so welcoming. We recently moved back to CT and Dr. Robinson was highly recommended by my dermatologist in Houston. I started seeing her in the midst of the pandemic, and she has been kind, warm and thoughtful in her feedback on my skin treatment plan. I also saw her for my annual skin check, and she made the whole experience very easy and comfortable. I look forward to continue working with her for medical and cosmetic needs!

The practice is outstanding! Each time I go, I feel both doctors listen to my concerns and treat me accordingly! I've only gone for medical appointments and I find Dr. Robinson and Dr. Klein to be thorough, extremely educated, and very accommodating to my needs. I got the impression that this office is focused more on trying to sell cosmetic treatments to benefit someones overall appearance. If you have a serious skin issue they will avoid,neglect,ignore or misdiagnose you. There secretary is was argumentative,dishonest and unhelpful. If you have a serious skin issue I would suggest looking elsewhere. I pointed out the blatantly obvious issue I was having. If there were more stars to give, I would. The establishment itself is very chic and trendy and the staff is very warm and welcoming. Modern Dermatology was also very clean! Traveled from Westchester County to go and see Dr. Klein, and it was well worth it! She was super sweet and helpful, as this was my first time getting botox. She made me feel completely at ease and answered each and every question I had. I have been going to Dr. Robinson for PRP treatments for the last year. We have been more than successful and I am continuing treatments. She is personable, informative, and is easy to speak with. I highly recommend if you are balding or your hair is thinning to try PRP its not 100% effective but it is worth a try!

I went there due to extreme dry skin on my face that became itchy and red. Dr.Klein gave me a misdiagnosis and put me on a heavy duty antibiotic ointment that I didn't need, failed to do anything to help, and that made me sick. She didn't ask many questions during my exam or even examine my skin thoroughly. Just took one look and a swab and sent me on my way with a misdiagnosis - which hers by the way was a pretty serious and contagious bacterial infection (it was actually dry skin in reality due to the cold and dry weather).
