I think Dr Fortier is excellent. However after waiting over 6 weeks to get an appointment and then waiting over an hour to see Dr Fortier I left.
I am assuming the later the appointment the longer the wait. If someone had called me I would have come in later. This is the second time this has hapoened.

Dr. Savitz is the BEST of the BEST. Look up his background. He is the real deal. He is also kind and compassionate with his administration of Sculptra. I do not understand negative reviews because my experiences with Long Ridge Dermatology have been nothing less than superb. Yes, there can be a waiting period when they are busy but I have found the results far more than compensate for the wait. I also believe that their prices are fair. I have researched at other dermatologists who are much cheaper but who also have many - and very similar (leading me to think they may just be true) - complaints

After many years as loyal customers, we have lost confidence in the service of Longridge Dermatology. Dr. Savits has diagnosed 2 melanomas last week and when trying to contact him for further information following the appointment, we have been unsuccessful in reaching him. Emails and phone messages to the front desk remain unanswered and it is beyond our comprehension how a doctor can be so difficult to reach after casually diagnosing 2 melanomas, simply stating that he may want to graft further tissue. No feedback post biopsy during our last couple of visits leaves us wondering why simple communication

Waited 2 hours for Dr Fortier only to receive a subpar exam and no care. She was not apologetic for the wait nor did she provide any assistance. She was not familiar with insurance or her own billing practices. Went to another dermatologist at CT Dermatology in Norwalk the next day, was seen immediately, solved the problem, and handled all of the insurance matters. Believe the horrible reviews and stay away from Long Ridge Dermatology.

The dermatologist was careless. I went twice. Did a blood test to take medication. He said he would call to give me my results and never did. I called them three times asking for the results and wanted to make a third appointment, but they would say that a nurse had to give me the results and would call me back, but never did.

The doctors and some of the staff is awful. My daughter had a sample of of skin taken and they was suppose to call her with the results. We had to constantly call to get the results because they wouldn't return our calls. This went on for over 6 weeks. We even had her primary called and they never responded to her call. Don't waste your money. If they cared about their patients they would follow up with them. The best thing you can do is report them to the insurance company.

A wonderful practice group. The desk staff is friendly, curious, and professional. The nursing staff clearly know their business and put you at ease. Michael Jacobson, M.D. is as good as it gets. Extremely knowledgeable and astonishingly professional yet warm and kind. He takes the time to listen and explains in clear language the issues at hand and the plan to deal with them. As a person with a serious issue going to the Doctor can be a scary thing. I truly believe Dr. Jacobson saved my life. I could not recommend him more highly. He is the best.
