Dr. Lee and everyone here at Camino Pediatric Dentistry would like to personally welcome you and your family to our child-friendly, modern pediatric dental office! At Camino Pediatric Dentistry, we specialize in providing comprehensive dental care to children and young adults. Every one of our doctors is a board-certified pediatric dentist (pedodontist).
Each has gone through an additional 2-3 years of specialized training and passed a rigorous board-certification process. Going to the dentist can be a mysterious, even frightening, experience for children. Our goal is to make this experience as positive as possible. We provide a dental environment where children can feel safe, comfortable, and free to be themselves.

Services
Dr. Lee is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist trained in delivering comprehensive care to young patients - including children with medical, mental, and physical special needs - using traditional behavior management, sedation with nitrous oxide, as well as general anesthesia. Dr. Lee earned both her B.S. in Biochemistry (1998) and her dental degree (2002) at UCLA.
We have equipped our dental office with the latest in technology. Our digital imaging system, for example, helps us to make fast, accurate diagnosis without exposing your child to the traditional dosage of radiation. Our paperless environment not only makes our office "green, " but also gives us the ability communicate with other stakeholders of your child's health - such as your child's Pediatrician - with ease and accuracy.
Should my child visit the dentist twice a year even when my child has never had a cavity?. Pediatric dentistry is a dental specialty focused on the unique needs of infants, children and adolescents, including those with special health and emotional needs. To become a pediatric dentist, a dentist has to undergo two to three years of specialty training in addition to dental school.
We are generally open Monday - Fridays. In addition, we are open two Saturdays each month. To ensure we provide the attention that all our patients deserve for everyone, we ask patients to schedule all visits ahead of time. For emergencies, we will make ourselves available to see all our patients of record.

Oh this was in my drafts for awhile. Whoops. This office was fantastic and did great with my 2 kids. One was terrified and needed extra support and they were great with him. Unfortunately, we didn't go back because our insurance didn't cover this office. If you are willing to pay out of pocket, or if your insurance is good they were def worth it.

I was very disappointed with the dental cleaning service of this clinic. The first experience was generally good. The second experience was very bad, and I felt that the entire cleaning process was very sloppy.
First of all, the staff took my kid to take the X-Ray when I answered the question with another staff without telling me and without my consent!
Secondly, when I told the dentist that there were stains on my kid's teeth, she didn't do any cleaning, nor did I tell the reason! At the same time, not all teeth are cleaned with floss!
Does this dental clinic only provide standard

22 month old's first dental visit
Covid procedures in place
Was assured on the phone while we were making the appointment that their dentists had their methods with kids to make it a pleasant first experience.
Dentist was nice, and I'm sure more than capable. However, the experience itself was horrible. There was nothing 'kid friendly' about it, and she was very procedural and didn't explain, show, demonstrate much to my kid before putting her hands in his mouth. He of course melted down. Didn't match my expectations of what a pediatric dentist would/should

I'm so impressed with Dr. Grace Lee and her incredible staff. All the hygienists we've seen are just so amazingly sweet, kind, and love what they do. Dr. Lee is so professional, smart, and wonderful with children. Her office is run seamlessly. They always know the special requests we have without us having to remind them. Today we took our son in for our family's first dentist appointment during covid and were quite nervous but we left very happy having felt very safe there.

We're so lucky Camino Pediatric Dentistry is right by our home. We used to drive all the way to Menlo Park and now we have a place closeby we trust whole heartedly.
Walking in, the staff is incredibly nice. The office is clean and spacious.
When we met with Dr. Lee, she was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain to our three year old what she planned to do by showing her a flip book of photos. This totally put her at ease.
After a thorough exam, it turned out our daughter had cavities. We talked through all the potential causes, despite our strong efforts to regularly floss and

I love Camino Pediatric Dentistry. My daughter has been going for several years ever since she got her first couple of teeth. She actually likes and looks forward to going to the dentist for her checkups/cleanings!
Everyone in the office - the dentists, hygienists, front office staff - are so kind, kid-friendly, and professional. They explain all the steps to the kids and put them at ease. They also email and text me reminders for appointments way ahead of time.
Also, when I needed an oral health assessment filled out for kindergarten registration and asked if I could stop by to get

Always a great experience for me and my 2 toddlers. Both Drs Lee and Kwon are kind and gentle, put my kids at ease. All their staff are fantastic and fast but thorough. They make it easy to visit 4 times a year (every 6 months for 2 kids) w flexible scheduling.
Place is very clean, kid-centered design, easy parking.

Mrs. Grace Lee talks to me in a very cold and condescending manner. When I see her with my kids, she also seems very cold with them. They dread her. Warm she is not.
Her staff, in contrast, is lovely and seem almost apologetic for their boss's behavior.
Her staff are directed, however, to refer to me as "mom," which I find bizarre. Surely if I was the mother of all her staff, I would recognize them better? If you ask them to call you by your name, it is hard for them to remember to and makes Mrs. Lee really angry.
The two stars is really high considering the treatment I feel

Dr. Grace Lee is a good dentist and she has good staff who are good with the kids. I took my son here to get some major dental work and unfortunately he got too frightened to have the treatment. After that time, I realized I would need to get general anesthesia for my son and consulted another pediatric dentist who was an in-network dentist. Dr. Grace Lee was not an in-network dentist under my plan so I wanted to compare costs.
The reason I am giving Dr. Lee two stars is because of her pricing. After consulting another top pediatric dentist (Dr. Radwan at Radwan Pediatric Dentistry), I realized

We were referred to Camino Pediatric Dentistry from Cerulean Dental Spa in the Rivermark. Our son had some issues (he has an extremely intense gag reflex) so they thought it would be best for him to see a Dr. who specialized in Pediatric Dentistry. Silly me for not even knowing these existed. But I am so happy to have found them.
We've been coming in to see Dr. Lee for about two years. She has always been wonderful with our 7 yr old. Her staff is also perfectly suited to deal with my high maintenance son. They know exactly how to handle his gag issues and are always extremely patient and

Imagine worst case scenario: Your child gets bumped by a swing that hits him frontal in his face. The child bleeds and his front teeth are lose.
I mean I was just happy that he finally got all his teeth (even his second year molars) and now I had to face the fact that he might lose his front teeth and even got his adult teeth damaged.
BUT Dr Grace is absolutely professional, warm and very helpful. I almost really lost it when I saw him bleeding and crying because he was scared and in pain. But she kept me calm and explained every procedure very carefully. She told me all the options, the scenarios

The staff at Camino Pediatric Dentistry are simply excellent. Professional, friendly, polite and competent. They have an excellent email and mobile phone reminder service to make sure you don't miss an appointment.
Dr. Lee and her new assistance Dr. Lam are very nice and made sure my 4 yo daughter was as comfortable as could be expected under the circumstances.
My only complaint (which has been noted by one other reviewer) is with Dr. Targ the mobile anesthesiologist. Dr. Targ is not a in-network provider with my insurance (United Health Care), which means I did not get any in-network discount
