Camp Mokuleia
We are an Episcopal Camp and Retreat Center located on the North Shore of Oahu that is committed to being a place of rest, recreation, and renewal. Public camping on our tent field is still open (must follow group size guidelines set by the City County of Honolulu) and we are taking reservations for the fall.

This upcoming year, 2022, will be Camp Mokule'ia's 75th Anniversary! We are very excited about this and are currently working on ways to celebrate here at camp with all our friends! Be sure to check back periodically as we will be listing events and their dates very soon.
Services
Camp Mokule'ia, upholding Christian and Hawaiian values, is dedicated to maintain, develop, sustain and care for its natural resources, offer a safe gathering place for all who enter, and provide for Christian ministry through intentional service to spiritual needs of the Episcopal diocese and the community.
Camp Mokule'ia offers weekend packages for the whole family to enjoy. These packages are intended for our friends on the island to have a way to get away and let us take care of you without having to travel very far. Camp Mokule'ia has been providing summer camp opportunities for the children and youth of Hawaii since 1947.
In the fall of 2020, Camp Mokule'ia began offering Family Stay-Cay weekends and they were extremely successful. As a result we are happy to announce that we will be offering more in the future! These packages are intended for our friends on the island to have a way to get away and let us take care of you without having to travel very far.
Located on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu, Camp Mokule'ia began providing children and youth with summer camp experiences in 1947. Camp Mokule'ia offers Residential Camp programs, Day Camp programs, and this summer we are excited to offer our first Family Camp program. While at camp, campers have the opportunity to play games, make new friends, sing songs, and learn new skills.
Camp Mokule'ia's resident camp programs provide children and youth opportunities to participate in a variety of age-level appropriate activities such as swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, arts & crafts, group games, low ropes, high ropes challenge course, and hiking. Most of our residential camps are 6 days/5 nights.

I spent a night tent camping and had a great experience. There is a gate you have to get code access for, so I felt safe staying here. I basically had the place to myself. Large camp site, with my own sink. There's a yurt bathroom with flushing toilets, very clean. And I was right off the beach, had it to myself. I'd come again 🐈🐈‍⬛🐓🐓

They're in the midst of renovations. We stayed in the run down cabins. There are no amenities or activities other than the beach.

Beautiful location. I stayed in a tentalo right on the ocean. Just a flat floor inside, so don't forget the air mattress! Quite a few ants - consider bringing spray.

I was super looking forward to our stay here but it never happened. It took me almost 20 days just to make a tent camping reservation from Canada. The replys and process was excruciatingly slow. So when I finally had it I was excited. Unfortunately when we finally showed up for our week long stay they had put us in a under average spot. No privacy whatsoever, no trees or shade, right by the parking lot and what seemed to be a big family reunion thing. So we decided to bail. I was super disappointed after trying so hard lol. The staff was very friendly though and understanding. They refunded our

My husband and I enjoyed camping in a tent here for 4 nights. We got a spot right on a super chill beach and had awesome views from our tent. We were arriving late and had a hard time reaching the staff but eventually got a gate code from them. I was originally hesitant to camp here because it seemed like a religious place and we’re not religious, but it really didn’t give off an awkward church vibe while we were there, which was great. We chose to camp here because all the other Oahu campgrounds cite safety concerns in the reviews and rampant homeless populations. At this campground, I felt

The best place ever! My experience was really fun and everybody was my friend, we even helped one girl in our cabin to get more outgoing! We have cruisers who set our tables each day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, if we never wanted something, we politely decline. What I liked was the carnival, you got to play, listen to the music, and eat whatever you wanted. I loved it there and I bet you, reading this, will too enjoy it as the last day is the bonfire with s'mores and the Little Dipper!

Water front camp with cabins, tenting and a Lodge. The lodge features rooms with bathrooms upstairs and shared bathroom one every 2 rooms downstairs. 2 wheel chair accessible rooms with bath down stairs. Limited kitchen in lodge has a refrigerator and sink. Bring your own everything for the kitchen. In the lodge sheets and very small towels included. IN the cabin bring your own bedding. We go regular for retreats with various groups. Has a ‘chapel’ space you can rent seperately and you can sign up for meal plan from the camp. Great fun.

My son had an amazing time at summer camp. He shut off the electronics and unplugged. He enjoyed zip lining, ropes course, paddle boarding, meeting new friends and creating memorable experiences. Thank you to the staff who made him feel comfortable and made camp so much fun. He already can't wait to come back next year!

Beautiful location and camp site. Camp site is right next to the water. Cabins are pretty old and needed some upgrade. There is the lodge but rented a cabin. They also have a cafeteria if you pay for your meals. Breakfast is okay but lunch and dinner not so good. They have a fresh salad bar for lunch and dinner which is good and fruit salad bar for breakfast that's not too bad. They need a real chef at their kitchen cause two nights straight we had chicken that's dry. They also have a camp site for tents. Great camp site for church groups or for family but don't expect too much

This year was the second time that we stayed at Camp Mokuleia. Our church rented out the entire lodge, and about a 1/3 of the campground as well. The views from the lodge are gorgeous, and it's clean and comfortable. The staff is around if needed, but are unobtrusive. Will definitely be going back.

I liked this camp. I'm a pretty simple casual person, so I don't need a room at the Trump Tower to be comfortable.
The views from the Lodge were awesome!!! So beautiful to watch the waves break. Going to sleep with the sound of the ocean was the best!
The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. My church had the whole Lodge (all 20) rooms and the HUGE living area and kitchen to ourselves. Loved every minute.
Just remember to bring a bar of soap and shampoo :)

Absolutely loved this place! Attended a youth retreat here and the facilitators were wonderful. The food was delicious and the camp was perfect. We utilized the dining hall and large chapel. Perfect for our group of 30. Tent camping and family yurts available too!

I went to this camp as a chaperone for a group of about 100 students. It was a crazy experience but the Camp staff made it much easier!

I think my favorite part of the two days was finally being able to lie down in our cabins and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. This place is really beautiful. Even though the students couldn't be on the beach (due to the school's guidelines, not the camps) they enjoyed seeing the blue water, turtles and the occasional eel! The beach was clean and the facilities were too.

Bringing a group here was a great, community- building experience. The

I got the chance this weekend to spend some time at camp mokuleia. Growing up I use to come here in the summer camp. This was the 1st time being back..since let's just say a long long time ago lol. Wow has this place changed. They still have some of the old structures up but have added new ones on to it. It was nice an relaxing just as I remember. I loved the camp area. You get your own private little area. There's a sink right there to was your dishes. They have hot water showers and the new bathrooms are nice. Better then the public ones. I guess that's why it's kinda pricey

Chaperone for a group of high school students and stayed for a week. Food was great, hosts were kind, and for the money the place was good. It was about a step above roughing it in the cabins. I recommend that you bring a fan if you come in warmer months and if you have a bad back the bunk beds probably not the best. But as a young teacher with high schoolers this place was fine. These California kids freaked our about the baby roaches at the beginning but after a day they were non existent and the girls mustered up the courage to kill them. We only partook in kayaking and the blind obstacle course

The location and setting is fine, the cabin is what it is-just don't expect anything more than the bare basics.
Except...this time we burnt a citronella candle the first night and didn't have one the second night. The kids and a couple adults got some sort of bites (including the puppy that came to visit for a couple hours).

Would I go back? Maybe-if they could tell me that the bug problem has been taken care of or maybe just bring more citronella candles. :)

During our two week stay in Hawaii we camped at four different campgrounds. Camp Mokuleia was by far our favorite. This place is sparsely populated by other campers so we had the pristine beach to ourselves almost the entire time. The only other people we saw while there were the kids staying at the summer camp that is located there as well, and the camp counselors. They did not bother us at all though, for they stayed in a different area of the property where the kids camp buildings are located. There are two showers and two toilets, as well as plenty of campsite sinks around the property.

I just spent a glorious weekend at Camp Mokuleia. This was my third year there. My review is for the cabins and the food. The cabins sleep around 14-22 people depending on the size. There are bedrooms with bunk beds and a common room with more bunks, a sink, mini fridge and small table/chairs. The bathroom is large and the showers have hot water! The bunks are just your basic wooden bunks with a thin pad but they are comfortable after a long day and they have a full wrap around rail on the top making it safe for younger children. Our church orders meals from the dining hall and they are always

Camp Mokuleia is on Farrington Highway west of Haleiwa on the northwest side of Oahu. The setting is on the beach with tent camping among the ironwood trees. Camp sites cost $18. Per person per night.

Shelley took my reservation and was very helpful with my booking and directions. Mahalo Shelley!

They have toilets and warm water showers by the parking lot. They advertise breakfast at 8 AM for $10. Which is a lot and I missed it. I don't think they actually do it every day. It was very empty and quiet. Two couples brought camper vans.

If you don't have a car it is a long way from Haleiwa

Here to give a talk and the accommodations are clean, but very sparse and not quite super well kept up.

It is cold here right now in April and very windy which made going swimming not pleasant.

It is beautiful and I got watch a whale breach from my window and that made it perfect!! Plus being lulled to sleep by the waves is very soothing. Wish I'd stayed more than only one night.

For 18 bucks per adult and 10 per child under 10 you will get a campsite with no electricity, no grill, navy showers( push button faucets, and have to pay to rent a grill. Plus only 1 fire ring for the whole camp(no ground fires allowed) of which you have to pay to use. Oh and you are not allowed to go to the other side of the camp where they usually have church groups. This is the side where there is a swimming pool and basketball court. Also no alcohol, not smoking. Not coming back
