Services
It sounds super science-y, but it's basically ALL of our daily movement other than "structured" exercise. Cleaning the house, walking the dogs, walking from the parking lot into work, gardening, even fidgeting is considered NEAT. Why is NEAT important? Because this basic, everyday movement contributes to a much larger % of our energy expenditure (calorie burn) throughout the day than structured exercise.

My experience with Dr. Alex could not have been more phenomenal! This was my first time with acupuncture and I had a very limited knowledge of the process and how it all worked. Dr. Alex took time to explain everything to me and her skill set, knowledge, and understanding of her craft was obviously vast and quite impressive. I was in a car accident in 2015 (a mere 25 years old) and have experienced chronic neck pain ever since. This pain would sometimes be so intense that I would need to lean my head against a wall to release the pressure on my neck from holding my head upright (like newborn, so not a great time). I’ve been coming to Dr. Alex for 6 months so far and my body feels so much better. She’s just amazing at what she does. I get the gua sha and cupping for my back and face. It’s such a wonderful experience. If I miss a month of her treatment, I really start to feel my back tightening up. If you get a chance to book an appointment with her, you will not be disappointed! As of right now, she’s not taking any new clients - but whoever has her now has the pleasure of her work!

Dr. Alexandra Morando is the finest acupuncturist in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Her knowledge and expertise is outmatched only by her sense of humor and care for patients. She goes out of her way to answer your questions, taking the time to calm your fears and ease your tensions about treatments and philosophies underlying her practice. Anyone needing a physical reset would have to find someone pretty far along the acupuncturist path to rival her. The fact she studied in China only adds to her credibility. If I could give this place a 100 stars I would! I had the best experience ever today with Dr. Alex Morando, being treated with Acupuncture and Gua Sha! I was barely able to turn my head when I woke up this morning, and left with a very improved range of motion!!!
