Port Jefferson Dermatology

The practice was founded on the principle of providing outstanding dermatologic care to patients presenting with diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. All care is provided by a physician who is board-certified in Dermatology. To provide adequate time for each patient to address all of their medical issues and concerns.

Vanita Srivastava received her undergraduate and medical degree from an accelerated medical program at the New York Institute of Technology/New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. Dr. Srivastava then went on to complete her dermatology residency training at St. John's Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, NY.

Dr. Renee Fruchter grew up in Long Island. She graduated summa cum laude from Barnard College, where she was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She went on to complete her combined medical degree and masters in clinical research at New York University School of Medicine.

During this time, she was the recipient of the Marion B. Sulzberger Award for excellence in Dermatology and won an award to present her research on cutaneous lupus at the Society for Investigative Dermatology.She completed a one year internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke's-West, followed by dermatology residency at Montefiore Medical Center, where she served as cosmetic chief.

When you have an appointment at the practice, please bring with you any applicable insurance cards. If you have a xerox of your card, please bring copies of both sides. Also, please bring a photo identification to your visit. For patients who require referrals from their primary medical doctors, these referrals must be generated prior to your visit.
