In Sandy Springs, Action Septic Tank Service found this concrete outlet baffle on an older septic tank cracking and deteriorating. The pipe was missing going out of the tank because it had completely deteriorated. This type of problem leads to system backups and surfacing effluent in the drainfield.
To fix, we replaced the old concrete baffle and line going to the drainfield with PVC. A septic tank should have an inlet and outlet baffle. The outlet baffle prevents floating scum and sewage from exiting the septic tank and entering and clogging the drainfield. An effluent screen can often be added to the baffle to provide even more protection to keep scum and sludge from leaving the tank.

Met with Matt the owner today and one of his guys and wanted advice on a septic tank system that we have in our newly bought home. He took the time to show me the system and how it worked and after the showing, I decided to get the tanks drained and cleaned out.
They did a great job and super glad to have met Matt. Super nice guy and very professional.

Matt and Hector at Action Septic are top notch. They are always available and I can verify this from experience. These two came to my home on Christmas day to check on the drain field, and spent several hours diagnosing the issue and developing a solution. This could have cost me a small fortune, but Matt was very fair and more concerned about paying his employee for his time on Christmas day rather than his own time. Action Septic is not the cheapest I've used, but if you are interested in locating and resolving the problem, there is no doubt who I will call in the future. Matt truly cares about

I was having septic drain field trouble and got about 5 quotes from different companies for a repair. None of them could actually do a repair and all of them quoted me for an entire new leach field system ranging in price from $6k up to $8k. Matt was the only one who was able to identify the root of the problem and make a repair for half the price of a new system. Overall I’m very satisfied with his work. One tip when dealing with Matt is to be flexible with your time. He really takes his job seriously and will do his best to get the job done right but it means that sometimes his planning is

You can feel safe about giving Matt at Action Septic Tank Service a call for your septic needs. He helped us out with a tank cleaning and also took care of our clogging problem by quickly and efficiently replacing the line from the house to the septic tank. He was the first to respond when we had a Sunday emergency and took care of us until completion. I wouldn't hesitate calling him again and recommend him highly.

After reading the google reviews that were already here I decided to give Action Septic a call when my toilets were backing up. I called after 8:00 pm, and left a message. Matt called me right back, and scheduled a time to come check out the problem. He had me operational within 24 hours, and he did a great job cleaning up after himself. A lot of septic companies that I have dealt with take advantage of the emotional situation that you are in and over charge based on the fact that once they are there they count on you having them do the work regardless of their price.
