I've been a patron of Anna Tailors & Formal Wear since 2011 -- not only because standard alterations and general repairs are completed swiftly and without issue, but because I've also been pleasantly surprised on multiple occasions by the skill with which some of my more involved alterations have been completed. Taking a size 8 dress with a flowing design down to a size 0 is no small feat, but they made it seem easy. And difficult alterations on gowns with intricate beading or trains or multiple layers were similarly completed to my delight and amazement. I trust them with all of my clothes --

I took my items a couple months ago to alter but I forgot to place a review. I was looking to alter new items that I remembered my awful experience. Terrible service lady beyond rude, not professional at all on top terrible work, and expensive. Be aware this place was sold 3 years ago. The good reviews are for the previous owner not the new one. AVOID!

Critical: Professionalism
I was going to go in, but then I overheard what sounds to be the owner yelling at an employee. The way she treated her employee made me not want to go in. I wouldn't want to support a toxic workplace like this.

This Owner is soo Rude !!! She is expensive But I don’t mind paying for quality work , Her Bad attitude is the problem here !! And as another person said here if she makes a mistake she will blame you or the design of the dress,, I can deal with paying More BUT I WILL NOT DEAL WITH HER RUDENESS !! I found someone else who is amazing and Kind !!

I moved from NYC to San Diego 18 years ago and have been using this high quality tailor ever since. Cynthia and staff are very talented and I bring everything from formal wear, designer clothes, wool coats, jeans, swimsuits, pants, dresses. etc. for all of my family members. I trust her with everything! We are always satisfied with the great quality of work and how great the clothes fit when they are finished. It's amazing how much a great tailor makes a difference! We love Anna Tailor and would highly recommend and I am a hard to please New Yorker. They are very nice and always accommodate me

The absolute worst tailoring job ever. She would not take responsibility for what she had done and in addition had the nerve to blame the manufacturer. She could not undo the damage she did but yet had the nerve to go ahead and charge us for this. Under any and all circumstances avoid this business she does not deserve to be in business. Thank you

This is a small tailor/seamstress shop. She offers great service, quick turnaround, and top quality work, all at a very reasonable price.

I brought my pants in to be hemmed and when I told the lady to let them out almost all the way and she wrote down the wrong thing because when I picked up me pants she only did 1/2 in and argued with me that that's what I agreed too, I did not. I also needed a new zipper on another pair of pants but they wanted to charge $20 which I responded that I could buy a new pair of pants for that, she got all mad. Not a good way to run your business.

This is our family go-to place for all things alteration - from a simple finishing a pant length to more complex alternations of suites and dresses. Anna Tailors is exceptionally skilled, does a fantastic job, always delivered on time, and is reasonably priced.
