Chris Gianino (owner) worked for several years for a larger moving company. He realized that many people were unable to find a company who offered services for smaller moves. In 2000 Simple Moves was established to help those who needed a small specialized moving company, a company that was affordable and did not have a three or four hour minimum, or outrageous and hidden charges.
Some of the requests Simple Moves received were for items to be moved from floor to floor or room to room. Others wanted to have the big furniture moved while they themselves moved the boxes and smaller things. The larger moving companies were only able to offer these smaller services for much larger fees.

Simple Moves provides unique moving services in St. Louis. Now, Simple Moves is able to move within a 150 mile radius of St. Louis which means that we can now move your college students to and from local colleges such as Mizzou, UM - Rolla, SEMO. Simple Moves may provide storage service for your short-term storage needs.
The earlier, the better. Although the actual truck assignment may not be made until a few days before your move, it's wise to give your moving company from four to six week's notice, if possible. The more lead time you can give, the more likely we will be able to meet your preferred delivery schedule.

Simple Moves gave us quality services in a timely courteous manner. We needed outdoor furniture moved from our above ground deck to the far end of our basement. This entailed carrying awkward size furniture down an outdoor flight of stairs, walking around our yard, down another flight of tricky steps inside our house, and carried the length of the ranch house. To the far end of the basement. Everything was moved with no accidents and with absolutely no grumbling. The gentlemen were friendly and efficient. I highly recomm

We had a small office move but worried if it was all going to come together. Have had a nightmare experience with another local moving company last year. Moving is so stressful but Simple Moves really came through and did an amazing job. Kathy in customer service was helpful and reassuring and Ray and Allen were courteous, efficient, professional and just good people. Highly recommend Simple Moves. Scheduling was a breeze. They gave a very accurate estimate of the total bill, they did a confirmation call the business day before, texted and called 10 minutes before arrival and sent receipt as soon as everything was completed. Carlos, Joe and Branden did an awesome job moving the pieces. They took great care but were quick. Highly recommend.

I asked simple moves to pick up a table with glass top from the Miriam switching post and deliver it to my house, second floor. The lead adjusted his delivery schedule in the morning of the move for my benefit. The folks at the Miriam shop told me the team was prompt, very polite and efficient. I found that to be true when they delivered the table to my home. Two very personable fellows.
I've used Simple Moves at least five times. The prices are very reasonable For those having difficulty scheduling on the website I would advise pick up the phone and call them.

We purchased an elliptical through FB Marketplace and needed it moved from a second floor bedroom to our basement. Because of its size I thought it would have to be partially taken apart. The head mover said they can't do that because of liability but they would do their best to move the elliptical in one piece. I doubted they would be able to negotiate the narrow hallway and steps but the movers patiently lifted and adjusted the angle of the elliptical many times until they achieved their goal. Getting the elliptical into our basement meant fewer steps but there is a tight turn at the bottom

I needed to have some heavy items moved prior to closing on the sale of my condo. I booked a move on the website and was called by Cathy to reschedule as she was not aware that you could book a time on the website and that day was not available. 30 minutes before the scheduled time window, I received a call from Cathy to inform me that they were unable to make it and that they could not guarantee that the move could be completed at a later date either. I ended up having to cancel their services and search for alternative options.

Simple Movers was GREAT!!!! I had just a few items to be moved 5-miles away. From the time of booking via phone to the time the job was completed, the whole experience was seamless. We had an in home move. Several pieces of furniture and a rug fr upstairs down and visa versa. The two movers were professional, careful and efficient. In addition, they accomplished the moving in less than an hour! Kathy who booked us over the ohone was also very wffecient and helpful. This is a very reliable company!

Followed their online procedure -- it's a complete mess -- and scheduled a call to discuss. Call was to take place the next day at 9AM with a Chris G. Received an email confirmation and everything -- very professional and official looking.
That's the best I got.
By 9:30 Chris had never called. I called the office and was told that Chris had just stepped out, but they're booked full -- very busy these days.
I'm wondering why their impressive system didn't just tell me that when I was scheduling the move? Wouldn't that have been much easier?

We have used Simple Moves numerous times and have always been extremely satisfied. This was an inner-house move involving some very heavy power tools. The moving crew was friendly and conscientious, working very hard to make sure nothing was nicked, dinged or damaged. I highly recommend Simple Moves.

I've used Simple Moves several times - to move houses within St Louis and to move things in the house that would be dangerous for me to try. Each time the service has been very professional with helpful automation (texts for payment, contracts, delivery times), but most importantly, the people that come into my home are friendly, professional, safety oriented and careful. This was the second time we used Simple Moves. The first was to move several heavy items in our house from one floor to another several years ago. This second move was to move items from our house into our daughter's new apartment. Her new apartment is up on a hill and has many steps. Several items are very heavy, including a large marble table top. The guys moved quickly without pause, and the cost was less than the estimate. They were courteous, helpful, and efficient, as were the guys who did the first move. We would use them again without hesitation.

I just had a piano moved from South City to St. Charles county. They were running a little behind schedule but were very apologetic and worked quickly to get it moved without any other issue. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. I received a quote from several moving companies, and Simple Moves was the lowest. The piano looks great, and I'm very pleased with the service.

Never having hired movers, Simple Moves made the entire process...simple. Communication was great, their pricing was competitive and we had a really great experience with the moving team, Rod and Alvin. They were on time, attentive and were super careful with all of our belongings. They moved our entire house in what seemed like no time at all. I would give more stars if I could!!

Well it was horrible . The crew didn't pack my things properly or at all and Broke so many of my things!
My glass dining room table is chipped around the
Edge and I warned them Multiple times about
It being glass and my 2 mirrored Night stand are destroyed And shattered.
My bookcase with the glass doors was completely tore up and all the Doors ripped off of the shelving unit. Dishes where broken. Etc etc I could go on and on and have pictures to back it All up. Called Chris everyday and he Never Returns my calls. Horrible I expect a full refund bc my damage is more than what I paid the movers

Simple Moves employees are incompetent and SLOW. I had a sofa bed listed on my estimate and the movers that showed up were ill-equipped to handle it. Instead of trying to lift it (as was done upon delivery of the piece) they attempted to get it into a 12" dolly and dragged it all over my front porch and yard in the process. They did not wrap it, messed up the plants/mulch, and it is now filthy. They were then unable to get it up the stairs at the new location, and my move is incomplete. Apparently they're promising to send a new team to handle it, which is an inconvenience given the work

I used Simple Moves after selling my home. I had an excellent experience with this company from the moment I called to get a quote to the moment they closed out my move. Scheduling was very easy and their estimate was extremely detailed to ensure there were no surprises when it came to payment. On the day of the move, the movers arrived within the outlined time frame and got right to work. I signed noting the time they began and again when they finished. Two guys finished moving my ENTIRE house into a moving truck in less than 2 hours! They were polite, courteous, and extremely respectful

I wish I had seen the other reviews before hearing a radio ad that made me feel this was a great company to go with to move my refrigerator across town. A nice staff person even called me twice in the week before I scheduled to try to earn my business. Unfortunatley the guys who came out -although also polite- did not have gloves or a masks on in the height of the pandemic and when I told that to the office they only said, "Well they DO have gloves and masks when they leave in the morning." But the worst was how the guys let my refigerator BANG down every step -it arrived at the other

because they brought a truck that was too small and extremely unprofessional (talked on the phone the whole time and asked... why did you move here? Very much so passing judgment on my amazing new home) Then when I complained they said they would give me a refund if I took down my negative reviews, I took them down then they stopped responding to my emails and never reimbursed me. Terrible company. Don't waste your time or money with this icky company.
