Since then five generations of the Brooks family have been dedicated to serving the best variety of quality meats and the freshest deli items to the Des Moines Community.
B&B Grocery, Meat & Deli is widely regarded as one of Des Moines best places to eat. Our full service deli makes Killer Sandwiches for a quick lunch for one or for the entire office. In the early 1980's workers were coming in the store and drooling over the sandwiches that Brooks family were making for themselves.
Our Dad's Killer Sandwich is the father of all the Killer Sandwiches at B&B Grocery, Meat & Deli. It began when our family butchers made themselves sandwiches for lunch. Hungry customers wanted a sandwich of their own. Soon, a customer said he wanted a "Killer Sandwich." We accommodated the request and created a Dad's Killer!
Our Killer Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches are hand cut, pounded, and breaded by our 3rd generation butchers. We use a recipe that has been perfected by the Brooks family. In 2010, the readers of Des Moines Cityview named our Killer Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich as Central Iowa's Ultimate Sandwich.
Our burgers have become a Des Moines favorite! In fact, Andrew Zimmern, of Bizarre Foods, named us one of the top burger joints in the Midwest. Of course, our hungry customers came to the Killer Zone wanting more and we delivered Quadzilla! The Quadzilla is four (4) grilled beef patties with American cheese, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on a grilled bun.
