Moy Yat Ving Tsun Kung Fu
A top rated martial self defense school located in Tallahassee Florida. If you are curious about any martial art including: Kung Fu, Karate, Krav Maga, Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Akido, or any other fighting style check out Ving Tsun theory and how it compares. Many martial arts and self defense systems depend on the attributes of size, speed, power and/or athletic ability.

These are important, but they inevitably decrease as we age and are best for short term growth. The Ving Tsun approach is more holistic and is aimed continual, longer-term development. That's why we focus more on universal principles such as: relaxation, coordination, timing, balance and sensitivity.
Services
As you may already know, Ving Tsun kung fu is known for it's simplistic, no non-sense approach to self defense, and it's practical application to fighting. But self defense/fighting is only the beginning stage of what you will learn. Eventually, while we want to be able to handle ourselves in a physical confrontation, being able to handle ourselves in life is much harder and the skills you learn should be reflected in your daily life as well.
A top-rated self-defense school located in Tallahassee Florida. We teach effective but practical and proper self-defense & personal safety techniques. No special strength or knowledge of martial arts is needed; one can train and learn regardless of gender, age, size, shape or experience.

We believe that self-defense should be easy to learn, easy to retain, and relatively easy to employ during real confrontational situations, so our techniques are designed for anyone to learn no matter your background. Our techniques will give you the skills needed to survive an attack or fight to live no matter what your background is.
At first I wasn't sure what to expect. There were no belts and board breaking like I had seen in most martial arts schools. The approach was different and the concepts were revolutionary. It was challenging in the beginning when I was first learning the foundational ideas such as good posture and right hand positioning.
A: In our training hall we use the family style approach to learning, so beginners through the most advanced intermingle with one another. Everyone in the school will help with the growth of your kung fu. A: Ving Tsun molds to meet your needs, which means you can get any kind of work out you may be looking for.
Some systems have many forms, while others have virtually none. Ving Tsun Kung Fu is more concerned with depth than breadth or shall we say quality vs quantity. Ving Tsun has 3 empty hand forms, a wooden dummy training apparatus, and 2 weapon methods. With each succeeding form/method, it leads a practitioner of this system to freedom.

I have been attending classes here for almost 3 years. The kwoon (school) has become my second home. Sifu (teacher), and my kung fu brothers and sisters, have taught me so much... it would be impossible for me to every truly return the gifts received.
You will not find a better teacher. Sifu is fully dedicated to the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu, and this shines in everything that he says and does.
We'd love to have you drop by for a chat and a bit of hands-on demonstration.
Cheers.

Sifu is a great treacher - very knowledgeable and patient. The school is set up in a way where new students learn from older students. All of the students are very friendly and helpful. It's a very positive environment that feels more like a community than just a school. I honestly am not a very athletic person but I look forward to going to class and learning more Kung Fu. Their hours are also very good for people who work late or are looking for an activity in the evenings. The monthly rates are a steal for how many hours you can spend in class vs a monthly gym pass.

Wing Chun (Ving Tsun) is a great martial art to learn for both beginners and experienced martial artist looking to add to their capabilities. It is a soft style of martial art which is great for everyone from big guys to smaller framed women and youth.
The instructor, or "Sifu", at this school is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced martial artist who has a true passion for teaching his students. He takes an interest in each students growth and works with them one on one to help them learn and improve. He also has a great sense of humor and makes training fun.
The school is a relaxed and

This school is perfect for first time learners. I have seen skilled and seasoned martial artists continue to train here. It feels just like a family, the setting is very open and relaxed. People of all levels train together and teach one another, so there is very little pressure. Moy Yat is a great place to learn not only martial arts but also how to become more comfortable and confident with yourself. The Sifu puts his heart into this school and helps everyone feel like a part of the family. Try it, you'll be glad you did.

I had never trained in any martial arts before visiting this school - I decided to join about 5 minutes after meeting the teacher (Sifu). You go at your own pace, but if you want to progress quickly, you can train a lot - the school is generally open from 7:30pm until 1 or 2 in the morning, so this is a huge amount of time for the money. And you have access to Sifu - the teacher helps you develop your own wing chun - it's a martial art, so it is something you will make your own, with his help. When trying out schools - check on the students. A huge advantage of our school is that there are at least

I have very little experience with martial arts other than a couple of intro weeks here and there. Based on my limited experience, I found this school to be amazing. The students are very helpful like a family always open to answer questions and provide advice. Sifu always works one-on-one with each student to measure their progress. These one-on-one lessons could cost extra at other locations I've attended. Unlike other schools, you don't pay to test for a new belt or put in so many class hours before you are allowed to progress. This program is all about working at your own pace. If you work

Really great learning environment with lots of one on one guidance from the instructor as well as friendly people willing to help you out. The school is open from the evening well into the night, and the relaxed informal setting lets you decide how much or how little you want to train. Because of the martial art's unique style it can take a bit of time to pick up when you first start out, but if you're willing to put in the time and effort the quality of the school along with the flexible training schedule can't be beat.

I've been training Moy Yat Ving Tsun in different places on and off for over 20 years. I chose this school because the Sifu (Instructor) is very skilled and knowledgeable and shares that knowledge with all students. The experienced students are also very willing to teach and train beginners. The environment is warm, friendly and very diverse. Students are young, old, male, female, and children. They may be first time students or some have trained in multiple martial arts. Everyone learns and gets good if they train consistently. In addition to developing great fighting and self defense skills,

Amazing school! Rather than a slow, boring class structure, I've had an authentic and dynamic experience studying under Sifu Do. He breaks down Wing Chun to the fundamental logic behind each movement in such a way that I've been able to learn quickly and naturally.
Everyone I've met here has been welcoming and so nice. The other students worked with me to actually help me work on my martial arts rather than intimidate me.
This school is definitely a place of learning and self-betterment; I highly recommend this school to everyone.

A very real world oriented martial art taught by a instructor who understands physical differences in people. You still get the same great system, just tailored in a way that best suits you and your needs. When I first when looking for a martial arts school I knew very little but what I had seen in the movies. The Sifu was very straight forward in answering questions. He was willing to take the time to sit and talk till all my questions had been answered, unlike the feeling you get at some schools that seem to just hurry you along. Two and a half years later I am still enjoying the classes and
