The entire team at G&G was great with us. We took our vehicle in for some much needed maintenance work and to troubleshoot a check engine light. The team updated us on the condition of our vehicle and worked with our limited schedule to get our vehicle safe and back on the road. They gave us options on levels of repair and were honest with their work. They didn't pressure us to fix the big issue and instead provided the options to us so we can decide what route we wanted to take. My van died on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Initially I was thankful to find a mechanic that was still open before the holiday weekend to have it towed to. I was well aware that it would sit till Monday & was completely ok with that. Monday came & went & I heard nothing. I have experienced great service at G and G Auto Repair. They are not the cheapest in town, and you get what you pay for. I was stranded on a trip out of town and called them and they referred me to another auto repair within their National referral program they are a part of and I got great service there too. I am on a road trip to LA from the Bay and my wife and I arrived pretty late last night so we decided to spend the night in Bakersfield. In the morning when we woke up I could not start the car so I had to get it towed. Got my car towed to G&G and a gentlemen by the name of Michael assisted us. He said he couldn't guarantee that he could fix the car, he would do what he could but because it was Friday he couldn't promise. I took my 07 Jeep to get a coolant leak replaced…again. I was expecting the worse. I was contacted the next day that my service was covered under their warranty. While it was at the shop, a burglar got into my Jeep, took some stereo equipment and vandalized the dashboard in the process. I received a call from Perry who assured me GandG would make it right. I was expecting the same old lies and excuses about the repairs. I was even shopping to get the same equipment again from other stores. They do a full inspection if your car and give you a list of things your car will need. So that you are aware and can prepare for the repair if needed. They are great people they fixed something but it didn't fix my problem so they credit it towards the next repair to fix the problem. That a lone is a great thing to find a shop that's not out to empty your wallet because they think they can, we all need our cars to get around and we pay what we need to to keep them running.

So I took my work van to another shop because it was reading 02 sensor code, vehicle running rich and 3 other codes I can't remember. That shop was going to charge like $900 to do o2 sensor and something else. I wanted second opinion and heard A lot of good things about g&g auto repair. Dropped it off and within a few days they called me and said a filter was so clogged and needed to be replaced. So when it was all said and done I paid $172 and van ran like a champ. I was blown away by their honestly and instead of doing like most shops and replacing things that didn't need it

On Friday I received a thank you how is your car automated message from G and G however I had not received my car back nor have I received a phone call with any update. I had to call them back and let them know that I do not have my car and they still had it.
I called back on Monday and was advised that they are trying to get the software as they do not have it for my car. My car is a 2010 Chrysler.
On Wednesday I finally showed up because I still have not received

I have just moved to Bakersfield and with lots of luck, I have found G & G auto repair to take care my router and brake issues. I can't say enough good things about them. From Denise who checked me in to the nice gentleman (sorry forgot the name) who took care of me, they are wonderfully amazing people. I got my car in two days coz I told them I had to make an out of town trip. It's a great experience working with them. Strongly recommend it!

The reply from this business is hilarious! A reman is not a used part?!!! It is by definition a used part! And a 200% markup on parts is not acceptable. nor is lying and telling someone the part is new. Nor is telling someone you'll be done in 2 days then take 5 just to replace an alternator which I could have done myself in about an hour. You have no morals, only excuses. Your egg comparison btw is not only inaccurate but insulting to anyone with a grain of intellegince.

The absolute worst experience I've ever had in my whole life. I hate liars and people the try ripping you off. Good thing they paid for what they did!! Just save yourself the hassle and skip this business. Unless you want something other than what you went in for to break. Oh and they'll try making YOU pay for it but if you're smart and can see right through their BS then you won't get ripped off like they tried to do to me. It's too long to even type. Just don't go here.

I don't live in Bakersfield, but I do business in Bakersfield quite often. Today my car broke down and G & G auto repair was kind enough to get it done the same day for me. Very busy shop, but it runs like a well oiled machine. Everybody from the ladies at the front desk, the two gentleman inside and their shop foreman were very professional. I would definitely highly recommend this company to family and friends. A+

Very dishonest business. The positive reviews below are perplexing - visit at your own risk. Car was towed there with a fuel line issue, and they never even looked at the car after two days. No diagnostics, no solutions, just a $96 charge to do nothing. They even left the spark plugs and injectors in the glove box without putting it back in the engine.

What a great find!! I have never been to an auto repair place with the kind of customer service I got at this place! From the moment I walked in I was treated as though I had been a valuable customer for years. I just went in for an oil change and tire rotation, but you'd have thought I was going to spend thousands of dollars on a repair by the way they interacted with me. They were friendly and efficient, and it just had the whole vibe of a knowledgeable, family, friendly business. Their prices are good, but what's better is I felt I was someplace that I could trust their assessment
