Iris Slotkin was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, and came to the United States in 1985. Since her childhood, she always had the passion to be involved in the beauty industry. In 1986, she become enrolled in Wilfred Academy in NYC, where she completed her cosmetologist course and then started taking classes and many training courses.
In 1995 she joined Sebastian International as an educator, traveling within the United States. In 2003 she became a Master colorist from Wella. Through the years her dedication, professionalism and passion has been reflected in her work and the relationship developed with her clients. Being a stylist gave Iris the tools necessary to grow in many directions of the beauty world.

Restorative treatment used to achieve more resilient, straight natural hair expected to last two to 2 months. We recommend clients wash the hair 2-4 days after getting a treatment, using only sodium-sulfate free shampoo. Since we offer various types of keratin treatments, a stylist will help you figure out which is best for you.
After the completion of the Iris Silk Treatment, you will be sent home with the Iris Silk Cleanser to maintain the longevity of the treatment. Iris Silk CLEANSE is a gentle color safe shampoo free of harsh chemicals with an infuse of zapote oil, for hydration, you will love the fragrance, you just need a small amount because of the concentration of the product.
We will discuss your hair and make-up needs and schedule the trial and wedding day services. Our contract and cancellations policy will be reviewed. We recommend you book your wedding services at least four months in advance. This should be scheduled 3 to 4 weeks prior your wedding day. Bring everything you will wear on your big day, such as your head piece, veil, hair accessories, and so on.
Come in and enjoy a complimentary consultation and check out our unique bridal room, where you and your bridal party will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the start of your wedding day. During your consultation we will discuss all your hair and makeup ideas, schedule a trial, and prepare a contract for you and your wedding party.

I went to Iris Salon to get my hair styled for a wedding. I showed the stylist exactly how I wanted my hair, and had the picture open on my phone the entire 55 minutes of her styling my low-do (picture attached). I couldn’t see what was being done in the back of my head, but I could see the front as I was facing the mirror. The front looked fine, but at the end when she went to get another mirror to show me the back of my hair, I was very confused. It looked NOTHING like the picture I had open on my phone for the last 55 minutes. At that point nothing could be done, I wasn’t going to have her

Iris Salon did mine and my bridal parties hair and makeup for my wedding and it was amazing! Everyone there is so nice and easy to talk to! I had my own bridal room set up with champagne, orange juice, champagne glasses, bagels, muffins, and fruit as provided by the salon! The salon is very big with a lot of chairs so it is easy to accommodate larger bridal parties. Iris was very attentive to everything I had asked for and anything I needed; she was on it right away! The entire salon and staff working on my girls hair were all great and everyone’s hair looked perfect. Iris and June were excellent

Love Iris Salon - it's beautiful and the staff is amazing. Christine Peters is a dream come true for color! She saved my hair a long time ago from poor coloring. My hair is now so healthy and happy because of her. And, the shampoo chairs... they're so comfortable! If you're thinking of stopping by for a service, it's definitely worth it! A+++ :)

I also followed Nadia to Iris because she knows exactly how I like to style my hair! She is so professional and friendly. She does an awesome job on all of my cuts and coloring. She has been my beautician for about 7 years.
The entire staff at Iris is amazing too! Lynda is fabulous with Brazilian straightening treatments. She is also so professional and friendly.

I followed Nadia from place to place for about 25 years! I'm so happy she's at Iris' now! The salon is beautiful, clean and open! Very modern and comfortable! I especially love the wash station chairs! No longer is my neck strained backward while my hair is washed! Thank you to Iris' and as always, Nadia, you're an artist!

I followed Nadia from the other salon and I'm so glad. Iris Salon with its wide open space is upbeat and modern. LOVE the shampoo chairs...so comfy. I followed Nadia from the other salon she was at, and am so glad I did! I rarely, if ever, have to wait, and the staff at Iris Salon has never ignored me, quite the opposite. The Iris staff there are very friendly and accommodating, and I don't think Nadia has it in her to give a bad haircut or color, it always turns out wonderful and I highly recommend her! The new salon itself is very beautiful, sleek, modern, and clean, while still conveying a warm and inviting atmosphere.
