Two nights we had the pleasure of staying in this fine hotel with such comfort and luxury. I stayed here during my wedding weekend, in the Diamond suite. everything was great the first night. But after being at our wedding all day my husband and I came back to the room to find that it had not been cleaned, the bed not made, the towels not replaced, new toiletries not provided, and the water bottles we had drank the night before not replenished. Not the most welcoming room to come back to after just being married.

Old and tired. Our room smelled like pizza and my son found a green onion in his bed. I was alone with my two kids on a road trip and the front desk pointed to a luggage rack and told us to unload everything from the car or it would get stolen. The sidewalk was slanted and my two young kids could hardly hold the luggage cart from rolling away while I loaded it and the front desk lady watched from inside.

Shotgun room. Poor breakfast experience - I would stay again but in a larger room. Very pricey. In close proximity to many things. I walked the whole time didn't use taxi or ride share and drank and got to all of my restaurants in the area. Popcorn in room was stale. Nice they give complimentary waters. They r sensitive to smell so no candles or patchouli scented incense because they reported smoke on the floor. My room was a double mediocre bed. Should have been 120$ a night not 200$. My car was park uncovered in Bank of America parking lot with no security protection in the storm. I had

Staff at check in is not helpful. Request a checkout at 1200 noon as I will be running late from work the next day. Her reply it all depending of housekeeping. Really housekeeping make the rules now. During booking. I specific request a microwave as I will be arriving late and need to warm up the foods while driving back the next day to Las Vegas almost 11 hours drive. During the booking the receptionist state it will put a microwave in the room. Upon check in say there are no microwave. Every requests are no. Never even making a effort to make it right. It seems that she can't even be bother

I've stayed here several times during the past five years and always have enjoyed staying at this property. That said, I'm docking them 0.5 points for still not reopening the restaurant and 1 point for suspending room service. Come on. That's just shabby cost-cutting at this point. Reduced services at the previous price? Nah.

Will never stay here again! Check in was at 3pm and our room was not ready until 3:40pm so we had to sit around and wait. There is no complimentary breakfast like there usually would be due to COVID, but you still pay the same price ($200/night!). Plus someone was smoking in the hotel that night and it smelled so strong in our room. The staff didn't seem to care about the bad service either. Only thing going for this hotel is convenient local to downtown Chico.

Multiple issues booking online then showing up and the dates they confirm are the date you booked your trip on. We thought it was just us then we told our friends who were a few hours behind us getting in and the same thing happened to them. Hotel manager acknowledged it happens multiple times a month then recanted and said only a few times a year. Get serious about running a business. Playing stupid is not a good business practice.

Incredible, professional, above and beyond and exceptional staff and accommodations! I organized renting out the hotel for our AGD Reunion at Chico State and staying at the Diamond was the perfect place.
I worked with Devon on the accommodations - he was incredibly helpful, polite and patient with our group of 80+ women. From the reservations, to changes all the way through check-in and check-out. Thank you Devon!
We enjoyed the bar every night and the manager there (sorry didn't catch name) and wait staff went above and beyond for all of us. Michelle was a server and was delightful

Location is a huge plus for this hotel! 5 minute walk to CSU Chico and the downtown area. The employees were all very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms smelled lovely and were clean!! I would recommend this place for sure, and will probably be back next time I visit Chico :)

The place in general is really clean and a nice place to stay. Additionally, the staff are accommodating and very nice. It might seem petty but I'm reducing to a 3-start for the fact that the breakfast (mon-fri) is now a buffet in lieu the "sit down" style they had prior. Bummer to see the only genuine nice hotel in Chico go to a buffet style for their guests.

We Just stayed here for our wedding night.
I had originally booked a room with a double bed. After all of the wedding costs, I didn't want to spend a lot, but I really wanted to stay at a nice hotel for our wedding night. When we checked in, the gentleman at the desk was very kind. He have us a bottle of champagne. We get into our room and it appears to not be the room I had reserved, but a large room with a king bed. I did include that it was for our wedding night, in the reservation. They totally upgraded us! We are going to be spending our anniversary there.

I really want to say good things about this hotel. I have wanted to stay there for years and upon finally getting the chance, I am continually put on hold. I ask if they can accommodate switching us to another room for an additional bed. No, they are sold out. Roll away? Fold out couch? No. Then I am rushed off the phone.
Very disappointing experience already and I haven't even slept there yet.

Beautiful renovation of a historic building. Very clean, fresh paint and linens. Aveda products. On a scale of 0 to 10, noise level of 3 from hall and rooms above. I'm sensitive to noise, someone else might think it was 100% quiet. Easy free parking right next door.
Nice breakfast in the restaurant, they gave us $10 vouchers towards the meal. Beautiful restaurant and bar. Location right in downtown Chico, what a cute town. The hotel staff showed us real hospitality on Christmas- thank you! I also thought the price was right.

Last minute work trips can be uncomfortable. I was expecting to sleep in my bed last night but duty called and I had to go to Chico with little notice. So happy I got to stay at Hotel Diamond, which made my unplanned night away from home comfortable and pleasant!

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend when we visited our CSU son. The front desk staff, in particular, Tanner, were very pleasant and both the check-in & check-out were a breeze. I do suggest that you look into their (Fivestars) reward program as our last stay put us over the top and we will be enjoying a complimentary room on our next visit.
Without a doubt, the finest hotel in Chico located within a walking distance of just about everything a CSU parent could need. An excellent complementary breakfast is provided. Book well in advance as they do fill up quickly.
