Batteries are the backbone of the electrical system and work the hardest in cold weather. If you live in an exceptionally cold climate, you may want to consider upgrading to the largest capacity available for your vehicle. Make sure the battery is securely mounted because vibrations can have an impact on the batterys performance and life.

Needed a full rebuild of my transmission. They did great work and got it done faster than I thought. I will definitely be a return customer
****Fast forward 500 miles after spending $3000 on transmission, after having car looked over to be sure it was worth spending the money. I now own a 3000 lb paper weight with a brand new transmission. Turns out that our explorer needed almost $5000 worth of other repairs that another well respected shop said should have been obvious to anybody who knows about cars. We will not be returning to Aamco.
If anybody is interested in a newly rebuilt transmission

Especially from a distance or when you are in a location away from home it is so hard to know where to take your car for service. Boise Aamco on Fairview was a real blessing to me in this regard. My son was driving one of my vehicles back to college in north Idaho when it broke down on the interstate near Boise. The symptoms my van was having were similar (especially to a non-mechanic) to a transmission that had failed. In fact, the shop that the car was originally towed to looked at it and said it needed a new transmission. Boise Aamco on Fairview towed the car from the other shop knowing I was

I am buying a car from a friend that would rattle and vibrate like crazy. I took it to Honda for recall. They told me right side motor mount and all this other stuff needed to be done. I brought it in to AAMCO and they found the issue. It was not the motor mount the dealership told me. It was two different ones. The car works great and the price was better than what Honda quoted me. I am so happy with this business. Will definitely be using them for any/all services in the future!!!

Didn't end up getting the service done, rated 3 stars originally to remain "objective" but decided that I can absolutely review my quote. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, I felt my car was respected, and the entire process only took a few hours so based on wait time, customer service and ease of experience I changed my rating to 5 stars

This place always overperforms for me. whether its a small repair or a transmission rebuild. My 2016 Yukon runs better now than when it was bought new. My 2003 Suburban is close to 400,000 miles with the original engine. these guys know their stuff.

Was overdue on maintenance and wanted to get it done before a big trip. They squeezed me in on a Friday and did a great job. Good communication and explained the pros/cons. Had me out the door earlier than they promised and made the trip feel better knowing everything was up to date and sound. Thanks again.

The man we mainly spoke to was the owner, and we were less then pleased with his attitude. He was very short with us. There was another man that also works there who was kinder and more respectful, he did attend to us on one of our visits. Now, We could bypass the negativity if the work had been done well, but unfortunately that is not the case. We wanted to make sure our truck was in top shape before moving across states, so we got these repairs done the last week we were in Idaho. Mid trip, our check engine light came on, only to find out BOTH things that were "repaired" were the things that

I had a strange noise coming from the rear axle of my truck. I called and Frank was extremely helpful. He offered a couple of options for repair. I brought it in, early the next day they called and had it diagnosed. Frank was very upfront about how long it would take. Parts came in sooner than planned and I had my truck back the next day. This is not my first interaction with this particular aamco. I have always been pleased with their work and attention to detail when it comes to customers. Just remember they don't just do transmissions.

WOW! I grew up never going to a mechanic because my dad always fixed everything. He taught me a lot but sometimes you can’t fix everything on your own. I had my Subaru towed to Aamco and had the most AMAZING experience ever! I will never go anywhere else. Frank gave me honest prices and didn’t charge me for the initial diagnosis. I was shocked. Go to a dealership and you’ll be charged $180 just for them to tell you what’s wrong with your car. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH A DEALERSHIP!
GO TO AAMCO!!
