Gene Riddle is a founding member of Riddle & Brantley, a law firm that employs 12 attorneys with more than 225 years of combined legal experience. Gene is quick to stress his family's deep North Carolina ties. A Stanly County native, he grew up in Aberdeen after moving from Albemarle. Gene's parents were both educators.
Alex Riddle joined Riddle & Brantley in 2020 as a personal injury lawyer handling all types of injury cases throughout North Carolina. She graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2020 and joined the firm immediately after passing the North Carolina State Bar. She is particularly interested in civil rights law.

FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GET AN ATTORNEY !!!! I was told that my case would be settled in 3 - 4 months. Riddle and Brantley took on my case in January of 2020 and it is now April of 2021. They seemed on top of the things for the 1st month then after that they stopped contacting me, so I had to keep contacting them. They claimed they would check in with me once a month but did not. I didn't hear from them in April or May of 2020, so I called them on June 17th (Thursday) and was directed to an attorney (Sherry) that did not pick up or return my call. This law firm is sub par. My chiropractor gave me their card after an auto accident. After TWO YEARS I get a call from my lawyer apologizing for forgetting about my case. The following week another female attorney calls me and says she is my new attorney and that she is sorry to say they are dropping my case. I was stopped at a light and a guy rear -ended me. He was driving without a drivers license that told the police officer he was reckless driving.

PLEASE DO NOT CHOSE THIS LAW FIRM!! I sustained multiple injuries in a car wreck that was not my fault. I walked away with nothing but these crooks got a nice big fat check!! my case manager, Shelley was hardly ever available and when she was, she was rude and condescending!! I had no idea who my attorney even was. When I asked who he/she was, I was given the run around. My attorney never even bothered to speak with me but had the nerve to mail me a generic " thank you" letter after they got my settlement money!! I got nothing!! Now on my fourth case manager. No one even bothered to tell me until I called looking for #3. My attorney Kurt is a joke. He admitted never even trying to negotiate my settlement because he was too busy. I was hit by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel at 7am on a Saturday morning. My care was totaled and I eventually needed knee surgery (both of my knees hit the dash). The settlement I was last offered was $5900....REALLY! Now I have to figure out what to do....I think filing a complaint with the NC State Bar.

It's been since first week of July. It's almost April first. In speaking with other family and friends who have been in car accidents, they all report if minimally hurt it does NOT take this long to settle. My 14 yo was in the car with me when an unlicensed driver hit us. I want our settlement so we can move on with our lives. I was disappointed with the handling of my case. I was hit by a DUI driver, crossed over the road, when down an embankment and landed in a field. Then the driver took off. My car was totaled. Very little was done for bodily injury after my car claim was settled. It would be months before I would hear a word from them. I would call or email to check the status of my case. I actually never met Attorney Smith. I have had to seek other council to get a fair settlement.

My brother-in-law was in terrible shape . While fighting every step of the way with social security and state disability causing him so much aggravation and putting him in a state of depression beyond words. I cannot believe the disrespect I have received from this law firm, especially Adam Smith and his paralegal Brittany. My settlement was agreed on November 2. Since then I have been lied to and given the run around. I was told that the settlement paper work is in Goldsboro to be reviewed. Then it will be sent back to the Raleigh office. I would come in an sign and 7 to 10 businesses days I will receive a check. Totally bologna. The worst after action I have ever dealt with.

I first meant Riddle & Brantley some years ago when I was hit from behind. I always thought money hungry people got lawyers. That was until I was hit. The other drivers insurance company called me day after day. They told me I had to give them statements and sign papers asap. The lady was so hateful to me. She even came to my job. I felt like a deer caught in head lights. I felt so bullied. I was over whelmed. The first thing that popped in my mind was Riddle & Brantley commercials. That I always saw on t.v. My experience at Riddle and Brantley was great. After I was in an accident they took care of all the phone calls and hospital bills that were coming in. For someone who had never been in an accident they helped me settle for the most money. Kristina helped greatly to intercede with the creditors dealing with the accident.
