Founded in 2011, Cincinnati Academy of Performing Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides after school programming in performing arts for students K-12 offering group classes, private lessons, and high quality community productions. Today, CAPA offers high quality group classes and private instruction conveniently after school in the school environment.
CAPA currently offers programming at the following schools: Indian Hill, Madeira, Mariemont, and Terrace Park. Private lessons are offered to students and adults at the following locations: Indian Hill, Mariemont, and Armstrong Chapel. Lessons at Indian Hill and Mariemont are open to students and adults living in the district, lessons at Armstrong Chapel are open to all students and adults from all over Cincinnati.

Do you love to sing? Do you like to dance? Come join Spotlighters Show Choir! The school has asked us to created a program to take the place of Primary Players for this year. We are thrilled to have this opportunity! At Spotlighters, students will receive experience in singing and moving to music. Spotlighters is open to any interested 2nd grader and will meet one day a week after school to create and learn 2 performances during the fall session.
Fun With Theatre offers students the opportunity to create characters and stories through movement, voice and imaginative play. While playing theater games, students are encouraged and challenged to follow directions, learn active listening skills, participate in teamwork, and accept challenges while taking risks.
Frank O'Farrell is the Director of the award winning Cincinnati based non-profit, Fourthwall Youth Studios. He has extensive experience in film, video and digital media having worked on numerous productions throughout his career as a writer, producer or director for clients such as P&G, Heinz, Chiquita, International Paper and many others.
That's a wrap! The month of June sure did fly by. Each show was outstanding and we are so proud and consistently amazed at what fantastic work the students and camp staff are able to produce in such a short period of time.
