After having worked with two other local florists for several years, Fifth Generation Texan, Donna Smith, noticed a common trait emerging from many of the repeat clientele. They wanted an 'out of the ordinary' approach to floral decor and event composition. In 1991, Donna opened Out of the Garden to fill that need and began servicing hotels, businesses and private homes with her unique style of floral design.
Out of the Garden specializes in capturing the essence of any setting by enhancing it with our unique sense of style. We provide services for hotel and resort lobbies, pre-function areas, ballrooms, suites, exhibit halls and guest rooms.
As the in-house floral design company, our trained professionals are also available to meet with hotel clients and present ideas that are tailored to target the client's specific needs through a custom designed look for their event.From a small corporate meeting for 10 to a Gala for 5,000, Out of the Garden works diligently to contribute to an exceptional and successful outcome for both the meeting planner, attendees and the hotel.

Donna and her team are absolutely PHENOMENAL. They provided florals, linens, and decor for our wedding and brought every single piece of our vision to life while treating us like family along the way. Donna and her team at Out of the Garden are amazing! She really listens to her clients to bring their vision to life. We hired her for our daughter’s wedding. Due to Covid shutdowns the week of the wedding, we were forced to move the wedding up two days and had to relocate 160 miles away from original location (yes, I said the week of the wedding). Year after year, my wife says this is the most beautiful flower arrangement she has ever got and this year was no exception...she actually cried. She said all of her favorite flowers were in the arrangement. I never like getting her the typical roses for Valentine’s Day and always request something unique. 2/13/2018 i went inside this location because I wanted to buy flowers since they had a sign outside saying they sell flowers. And there was an employee on the phone taking an order and I waited, when she was ready to talk to me I was already set in my mind that I wanted 12 roses wrap in a clear paper like a cone. Being this location very convenient to my job I was like let’s get them, what I couldn’t understand if you wanted to sell flowers like on the spot, why would you have a sign saying That They Are Selling Flowers on a industrial zone.
