Dr. Robert N. Hanson grew up in Alamogordo, NM, and is a graduate of the University of New Mexico and the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. In 1974, Dr. Hanson moved to Independence, MO, where he had the privilege of joining the dental practice of Dr. J. Donald Duensing. They practiced together until 1986, when Dr. Duensing retired.
We strive to provide a comfortable environment where you'll feel confident in the level of care you receive. For your convenience, our patient forms are available online. If your first visit is for a dental emergency, only the tooth in question will be addressed. Depending on the diagnosis, an additional appointment may be necessary.

I leave this review with a painful tooth in my mouth. Although Hanson Dentistry couldn’t perform the procedure I needed due to them not having a surgical chair ready; and also due to me being a late walk-in. But Hanson Dentistry was able and ready to take me in to see what they could do about my tooth. Hanson Dentistry staff were kind and knowledgeable about their craft, which made me feel comfortable. They also written me a prescription to help with the pain. During checkout, Hanson Dentistry gave me different pay options, which was convenient. They even have qualifying programs such as credit

The team at Hanson was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and immediately put me at ease. Emily met me with a smile and was extremely helpful. Julie, my hygienist, was clearly very experienced and took time to get to know me prior to the examination. Dr. Hanson came highly recommended and I would offer that same recommendation to anyone. SUCH an AMAZING practice!!! From Emily to Jess to Dr. Leach it was a wonderful visit, they all are so nice, professional and informative. I went in with some BIG concerns and they took the time to hear me and not judge me. I would give 100000000 stars if I could. Keep up the good work, good practices are hard to find these days!!! 😁😁😁

Everyone at this office is nice and understanding. I have bipolar disorder which has a side of paranoia. Due to this I got upset twice with staff. They didn’t hold it against me and were kind and understanding. Dr. Hanson is very nice and thorough. The hygienist is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this office to everyone.
