My name is Kathy Ventrice. I have called this beautiful city my home for the last 34 years. During those 34 years I have been fortunate enough to have met a very amazing and talented woman I call my best friend, Allison, but you all know her as Dr. Egg! We went to elementary, middle and high school together, but then went our separate ways for college.
Welcoming a child into the world is a joyous occasion, and every parent wants to keep their child healthy and happy. Oral health is an important. While it is very important to brush and floss your child's teeth at home, regular check-ups at the dentist are also an important part of maintaining. Sometimes children develop cavities.
Hi! My full name is Allison Eggleston, DDS, MS, but you can call me Dr. Egg. I was born and raised in Wilmington, and LOVE my hometown. I earned my B.S. in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry at UNC-Wilmington, and continued to UNC-Chapel Hill for dental school. I discovered my passion for pediatric dentistry in the summer of 2007, and attended a 3-year pediatric dental specialty residency program, also at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Welcoming a child into the world is a joyous occasion, and every parent wants to keep their child healthy and happy. Oral health is an important part of your child's overall health, and therefore oral health care should begin at birth. Wiping your child's gums with a clean, wet cloth after feeding not only helps to remove bacteria and sugars, it also helps to prepare and condition him/her to a brushing routine.
While it is very important to brush and floss your child's teeth at home, regular check-ups at the dentist are also an important part of maintaining oral health. Cleanings remove plaque and tartar deposits that may be difficult or impossible to remove during home care. X-rays at appropriate intervals help to detect cavities between the teeth, and can diagnose and aid in the timely treatment of other possible dental issues.

We were very pleased with the care that my son Daniel received at Dr. Egg's office. He had an emergency during off hours and Dr. Egg responded quickly and provided excellent care for Daniel. The team members in the office are very professional and caring. You can tell that Dr. Egg cares about her patients and she is an excellent dentist.

This woman and her staff are super special! I called...new to the area without having a dentist set for my kids yet and worried about something I noticed on my daughters gums and her and her staff took their time to tend to the matter and look at a picture and text me her thoughts personally! We haven't even been in person yet and I already love them and in awe of the kindness and time took when they are so busy and I'm not even a patient yet! Thank you!

I stopped taking my children here after a rude experience with the staff. This is not a good place to take your children if they have special needs. The office staff aren't caring or compassionate. They are very snobby and freaking fake. The dentist herself is nice however instead of having friends work for you maybe it would be in her best interest to hire an office manager that's more outgoing, friendly and not racist towards black people. As other reviews did say their is a big serious issue with this staff and most likely if you're a black person you've experience racial

Amazing experience today! My 10 year old son’s filling came out from a previous dental practice. They exceeded my expectations! Dr. Egg fit us in and replaced the filling. No wait time! Best part... he enjoys going to see Dr. Egg and her staff. A Win Win! Thank you Dr. Egg, you are a gift to our children and our community!

My family really enjoys going to Dr. Egg. Our 4-year-old didn't flinch when they did his x-rays which was infinitely better than at his last visit. He was still shy, but he allowed the dental assistants and Dr. Egg to do their thing without fuss. My older children really enjoy their time with her as well, they are very happy with their visits.
Scheduling was really helpful with setting up the kids all at one time so we weren't needing to wait in between each kiddo and get us in and out quickly and efficiently.
Overall very happy with our two visits.

AMAZING!!! They made my 4 y/o daughter feel so comfortable and explained everything in a way that she understood. From the awesome mermaid blanket to the 'treasure chest' at the end, it was honestly so much better than we expected! By far the best experience I could have asked for my child to have as her first visit. We will bringing our youngest daughter there also in 6 months. Dr. Egg and staff are truly awesome at what they do! My kids are now patients for life (well...until they outgrow the pediatric dentist at least)!!!
