Dr. Christopher D. Schmitt has been taking care of my feet and diabetic foot ulcers since May of 2018 when I seriously injured my left heal that got infected requiring hospitalization. Dr. Schmitt is not only very proficient in his primary specialty of Podiatric Medicine but is also expert in wound care. He is constantly keeping abreast of the latest advances in wound care and his specialty.
His office staff is very courteous and professional in dealing with the patients that come into Southern Star Foot and Ankle. I would highly recommend Dr. Schmitt and his practice for any one who has foot

I have been an active patient with Dr Scmitt now since 2018. I had an infection in a diabetic ulcer on my foot that I have been trying to treat for years unsuccessfully. Through his recommendations and care, the wound is now fully healed. During that time I broke my other foot in a fall and received care for that as well. Both he and his staff have treated me with professionalism and care. I would highly recommend him.

If I could give a negative star review rating I would. The staff in this office are the rudest staff members of any professional medical care facility I have ever encountered in my life. When the person on the other end of the telephone begins to get snippy and rude and I terminated service, I hung up the phone and moments later she called back being petty and said I needed to find another doctor. Well lady, I literally just told you on the phone I was going to bring my business elsewhere. I can not speak as to how the demeanor of Dr. Schmitt is as his staff were to rude for me get over.

I had a procedure done by dr that caused me to get an infection. I ran a fever and was even tested for covid. I had no other symptoms then fever and they refused to see me. I am diabetic and an infection can be dangerous. I have had to find another dr to treat me. I would never go back. By the way I was tested for covid and did not have it. Was only tested because of fever never had other symptoms . How ever I did have a serious infection from a procedure they did . The lady who makes appointment refused to even listen to me about not having covid symptoms. She said I could still have it! Thank

About a year ago I injured my foot and came to see Dr. Schmitt. I was hesitant going into all of this because from everything I googled, it looked like I would probably need surgery. What made worse is that after talking with my cousin, I heard all the horror stories of foot surgery from her. After several visits and x-rays taken, Dr. Schmitt concluded that my fracture was not healing on it's own. My worst fears came true and it turned out I did in fact need surgery. Now fast forward about six months later, my fracture is completely healed and I'm back to life as usual. I highly recommend Dr. Schmitt

My mom has been going to Dr. Schmitt for the last few years so when I had foot pain - I knew just who I wanted to go see. I like to go to a doctor's office that has a "team" environment - where the staff and doc take their time and get to know you and then help to come up with a solution to your health problem. Landa and Dr. Schmitt are a perfect team! Landa is a gem - she always greets me with a smile, a word of encouragement and makes me feel welcome.
