When you find yourself involved in a situation that involves a legal matter you should never go it alone. The legal system is complex and bewildering. You can find yourself feeling overmatched and at the mercy of prosecutors or of the legal counsel for the parties opposing you. The concerns for your future and well-being are well founded.

The people opposing you will have done everything they can to insure that you will lose your case and that they will attain an outcome which is only beneficial to them. Your future is of little or no interest to them. When involved in a criminal or civil legal matter, more then your liberty can be at stake - you risk the loss of home, career, and reputation.
Services
Richard F. Sweeney has been practicing since 1985, and during that time the experience he has gained in private practice and in public service has given him a comprehensive knowledge of the legal issues the residents of Westchester County have faced. Based on his experience and knowledge he can determine whether you can best achieve your desired results with a Jury Trial, a Non-Jury Trial, or in some cases Arbitration.
Getting arrested is one of the most traumatic events you can experience during your lifetime. You enter into a world with terminology and procedures that can be bewildering and terrifying. Despite the confusion you are going through, there are certain things you can and should do to protect your rights and improve your ability to achieve the best results in your case.
After being arrested probably the first thing on your mind will be to get out of jail as quickly as possible. A person arrested and charged with a crime may be held in jail until bail is set by the court. Bail is the amount of money a defendant has to put up (deposit) to get out of jail. It provides the court with a guarantee that the defendant will return for all court appearances.
I was given an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal with 5 days community service. I was there for the first 2 days of community service but then missed one because I was sick. Should I skip the community service?. My ex-husband just filed for visitation in a County which I used to live in but haven't lived in for 2 years.
I was driving without a license. I had not paid a ticket and my license was suspended. So there is also an Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd degree as well as the misdemeanor Driving While Intoxicated, and several other moving. I was given an appearance ticket to appear in Yonkers criminal court next week.

If you're in need of a good lawyer, calling Richard Sweeney is one of the best things you can do to help yourself. He is an experienced and brilliant lawyer, who quite capably sees all sides of the problem and is effective at finding the correct path towards pushing a case in your favor. His experience shows through to the current case he's working on, his knowledge seemed endless, and there was never a question he didn't have the answer to; he knew just how to predict and be prepared for what would come next.
Not only is he good at what he does Richard is one of the most compassionate people
