Steve is the Managing Partner of Tycksen & Shattuck and has 30 years of experience as a trial lawyer. He has served as a member of the Advisory Board to the Salt Lake County Juvenile Detention Center and volunteered his time for over 20 years serving as a Small Claims Judge Pro Tem in Utah's Justice Court System.

We have 30 years of experience in both Debtor and Creditor Bankruptcy law. Bankruptcy is technical and personally hard to understand. Sometimes bankruptcy is necessary and is the best tool you have to get a fresh start and recover from financial catastrophes. We have successfully filed and confirmed Debtor bankruptcies in Chapters 7, 11, and 13.
We form, set up, and advise small businesses, including: corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, etc. We can help you design the contracts you use with your customers and vendors. We can help you understand and comply with government regulations concerning discrimination, hiring and firing practices, sexual harassment, employee handbooks, and non-compete agreements.

I hired Steve to do a divorce decree modification. To say I was severely disappointed with the way the case was handled and outcome would be an understatement. He would bill me outrageously then discount it as if I was to feel better about it. I spent almost $40K and a year of turmoil. In the end I resolved the case on my own. The customer service was horrible. Steve was completely out maneuvered and out worked by the other law firm. I would stay away from this law firm as they are dishonest. All that matters is how much money they can milk out you. BEWARE!!!!!!

Please read this before hiring Chad Shattuck or his firm to represent you. I am a former client of Chad’s and I am only writing this review after trying multiple times to resolve my concerns with him and his law firm. Their unwillingness to stand by their work and make things right has been very disappointing and makes what would have been a 2 or 3-star review (or no review at all) a definite 1-star review. While he was representing me, Chad was okay to work with and I didn’t have too many complaints, but after my divorce went through, I discovered critical mistakes were made in my divorce

What a great experience it's been to have the Tycksen & Shattuck firm handle a few legal matters. Legal issues can be pretty stressful and emotional, leaving you to feel vulnerable.
