Originally a native of Venezuela, Dr. Angie came to the United States to learn English when she was only 17 years old. Despite being in a foreign land without any family, Dr. Angie elected to pursue a greater vision and attended Florida International University. After conducting extensive research and graduating at the top of her class, Dr. Angie received her Bachelor of Science as a double major in Chemistry and Biology.
Like a pediatrician is your child's primary medical provider, a pediatric dentist is the primary (and specialty) oral care provider for your infant, child and teen. A pediatric dentist must complete an advanced post-doctoral course, accredited by the American Dental Association, of at least two academic years in the specialty of pediatric dentistry to be considered a specialist in the field.
Your first visit to us involves a few special steps so that we can get to know you. Invisalign is the brand name for a set of aligners that patients can remove to eat and brush their teeth. They're also clear, making it possible to disguise orthodontic treatment. Clear and metal braces, the more traditional options, involve placing brackets on the teeth and connecting them together with wire.
Ask your pediatric dentist to evaluate the fluoride levels in your child's drinking water. If the child is not receiving adequate amounts of fluoride, your dentist may recommend supplemental fluoride. Other drinks or foods in your child's diet may contain fluoride. Fluoride intake will be discussed during your child's visit.

Let me start off by saying I usually hate going to the dentist and I never really wanted to put on braces. But after going to Dr.Cohen I can say it was the most amazing experience there and I don't regret anything at all. The staff there is amazing! They made me feel very welcomed and I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I would like to take the time out to let you know that Dr. Cohen and his staff are awesome!!!!!! I put braces on for the second time of my life. But being in a pandemic, I was scared of going places. His staff was so nice and calming, made you feel right at home. And let’s be honest, how can you be calm going to the orthodontist. I feel so comfortable that I am making my boys go for a consultation. I am very lucky that I found them. I highly recommend Dr. Cohen and his wife for pediatric care.

My son recently had an injury to his mouth. A very nervous mom was recommended to Dr. Cohen from the oral surgeon. SO GLAD!! What an amazing experience for both my son and myself!! Highly recommend for any child! Not only is his mouth healing nicely, they immediately but in his top braces! Quick and easy! As a local business owner customer service is a priority for me! It is for this office as well!

My kids go to Cohen Family Smiles for both dentistry and ortho. The staff is all incredible. From the administrative people at the desk, to the hygienists, dental assistants, and most of all Dr Yoni and Dr Angie, they are all a lovely group. They are thorough, patient and very kind with my kids and with me. The office is always clean and cheery, and makes everyone feel comfortable! Wish they were around when I was a kid. I cannot possibly recommend them enough! Highly recommend bringing your kids to see them.

I have been here twice so far. Both times the staff was very friendly, and professional. They also showed great patience with my four children, as well as my youngest child who cries very easily. Dr. Angie Cohen took the time to communicate and explain things to me when I had some questions for her. I never once felt rushed or disregarded during our discussions. The office is very clean and organized looking, which is always a plus and my wait time when first arriving was very little both times as well. I would absolutely recommend Cohen Family Smiles.

I couldn't be happier with our experiences at Cohen Family Smiles. The facilities are clean, modern and inviting for children. The staff is pleasant and efficient. I have never experienced a billing error in our years with union dental insurance and I had 2 in braces and regular check ups. The dentist and orthodontist are extremely fair and honest in their assessments of your children's dental health. I have never questioned a suggested treatment. They are a kind, trustworthy dental business that I recommend to anyone. We moved an hour away and will continue to travel for our check ups.
