Comfort meets classy & nutritious meets delicious at Cedar Mountain Cafe. At Cedar Mountain Caf we love breakfast, but hate how breakfast foods are notoriously laden with low quality meats and questionable additives. That's why we focus on serving hormone, antibiotic, nitrate and preservative free meats that are sustainably raised - and as local as possible.
We accompany farm fresh meats with seasonal vegetables, house-made dressings, sodas, sauces and soups made using nutritious, natural, simple ingredients. We serve real food made from ingredients you don't need a dictionary to pronounce.

The amazing thing about Western North Carolina is the abundance of earth's resources and those that love to work with them. We are fortunate to be in such a fertile part of the country and we take advantage of that in the food we serve. Our goal is to source as much as we can locally and to rely on national providers when we can't.
The majority of our vegetables come from Whistle Stop Market. Located a few miles down the road, this family run food stand specializes in local produce, eggs, meats, seafood, cheeses, baked goods, prepared foods, honey, canned goods, plants AND more. They do a great job sourcing form local and regional farmers and artisans during season.
Although we are landlocked in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina we get the freshest seafood from our vendors. Our seafood vendor is committed to providing customers a consistent supply of seafood that is transparent, traceable and sourced from well-managed fisheries, and is responsibly produced and harvested.
We are proud to offer grass-fed, free range beef, free-range chickens and pasture raised pigs. With that in mind, we use a variety of local sources, depending on the type of protein we are using and what is available from our vendors. Below are the farms we source our chicken, beef and pork products from.
Our bread comes from Bracken Mountain Bakery. A staple Brevard bakery, Bracken's products are made with quality products - stone ground organic flours, real butter, dark chocolate, local honey, extra virgin olive oil, and as many organic ingredients as they are able to obtain. They even created a brioche, just for us, to make our delicious French toast with.

Ordered pick-up while staying in the mountains. Burger was delicious and cooked perfectly to order. The pico, rice, and beans were also cooked perfectly and were fresh. Everything is locally sourced. Cuban sandwich ingredients were also good--only thing that could be better is the bread for the Cuban should be flatter and more crisp. Great choice. Quite the hidden gem! *Strongly recommend you get the tiny jar of honey.

What a great place! Breakfast lunch or dinner! Ever meal is captivating, perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection. Ingredients are fresh! Service is on point. Sit outside and enjoy the scenario or enjoy the comfort of the indoor area. The food and service here can compete with any 4 star restaurant in any city. Y’all keep it up! Amazing what a small town can produce with great cooks owners and employees.

This place was hit and miss. The fried chicken fingers were quite good and juicy. I wanted more sauce on the catfish tacos(pictured). The southwest burrito (pictured) had a nice spice but the chorizo wasn't very flavorful. My son wanted more cheese and onions/peppers to cover the meat on his Philly sandwich but the flavors were good. I would have given 4 stars but 3 things knocked it down: 1.) Having to wait for 45 minutes for food because the place was packed. 2.) I did find 1 bone in my catfish taco. [Picture included] 3.) The waitress told me 4 tacos cane with the dish but I only got 3.
