Country House Cafe

Just had lunch here and feel like I was taken advantage of. When we went to pay, we weren't given a receipt just told a total. The amount was much higher than I expected so I asked for a breakdown of our food- every single meal was between 1-3$ higher than what the cost was on their menu. Then there was a credit/debit card fee AND there was a "TPI" which stands for a temporary price increase. When I asked about the TPI fee there was a very nonchalant response along the lines of "oh I don't really know what that is but the owner just has it set that way." This is horrible and I feel like I got scammed

Our first couples retreat started here for breakfast and Hands down the best place to eat. We found out our friend Peter that recently passed away, twin sister is the owner. What a small world. We had an amazing experience here. The food is amazing, they had it decked out for Christmas and you can sit on the porch and eat. After you eat ask them for food to feed the animals. I will definitely come back and bring my family. A 100 must eat here.

Went there yesterday with a group of 20. The food is always generous & delicious. But the tiny cup of coleslaw, tho delicious, were a joke. It was a sample not a side! And another person in our group didn't like beef gravy with her turkey. But in general, great!!

Really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I was disappointed. I don't like leaving bad reviews but it's the only way a business will take the Initiative to improve. The staff was wonderful and the presentation was great. I got the country fried steak and my mom got the fried flounder which both were ok👍 The rice&gravy was on point and the greenbeans were the typical can kind but the mac-n-cheese had to be replaced because it had obviously spoiled. To me that's the head cooks fault for not tasting the food before putting out for consumption. Hopefully they'll make adjustments to improve

Great breakfast. Atmosphere was relaxing. Sat on the porch on a beautiful morning.

My husband and I went for a friend's birthday and were pleasantly surprised by the menu choice and the prices. My husband ordered the burger with sweet potatoes and it came with coleslaw. The sweet potatoes had a caramel sauce that you could dip them into my husband said it was just like biting into little piece of wonderful deliciousness. Afterwards he had a piece of red velvet cake which was very moist and very pretty presented to him. It's home cooking the owner's suite very polite and it's got a great atmosphere for children I would recommend this.

Absolutely a great place to stop and enjoy a great home cooked meal. My son has autism and enjoys ceiling fans and it was nice to find dinning outside and he enjoyed the fans. The staff is very friendly. The country fried steak was delicious!! We also enjoyed seeing the goats, bunnies and chickens outside. The staff even made the fan point at my son during g check out which he loved.
I will definitely be back for another dinner it’s a perfect spot on my way to Hwy11 coming out of Greenville when I head home to Walhalla
