My husband and I stayed in cabin 3 from Monday-Wednesday for the first part of our honeymoon. We loved how private the cabin was, even with neighboring cabins plenty of privacy, the property is stocked with almost everything you could want and the access to the river is perfect. We definitely plan on returning to stay. Management is kind and helpful! Tube and kayak rentals available, they provide a map and reliable contact information. If you’re looking for a nice clean spacious place to stay this is it!

This place is located in a beautiful part of Texas, in the Hill Country. We did not actually stay at the lodge due to them having a three night minimum during the peak season. All of the resorts and hotels in the area have this clause. The peak season is Memorial Day to Labor Day. We were actually arriving to use their services... Float the Frio, which they offer the tubes to float and a shuttle back to your vehicle. The tube rental is $15 per person and the shuttle is $15 per person. The last ride down the river leaves at 2:30pm sharp. So do not be late. This is the best price in the area, especially

Stunning! My kiddos couldn't believe how many stars we could see at night. The river was a little low, but beautiful and crystal clear. The other cabins were full, but thankfully everyone was respectful of each other's desire for quiet evenings. The hosts are wonderful people and we enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

We rented the River Belle house for Mother's Day weekend. It very comfortably sleeps 12 & offers a beautiful getaway from the hustle & bustle of life. There is a fire pit and a spot to play horse shoes on the side of the house which our family loved ❤. It's a bit of a walk to the river but it is quiet and beautiful with wild flowers growing along side. We loved our stay & look forward to planning our next trip out. The property does provide hand soap in the vanity areas and a dish drying rack with dish soap and a sponge so no need to pack that. They have sea salt & a pepper grinder along with

We decided to have a small get-a-way last min, we came across Frio River Cabins.... Let me tell you how amazing this place is! Veronica is also amazing as well and an AWESOME host!
Cabin: Delightfully cute and beautiful. So much shaded areas with the trees all around, hummingbird and bird feeder are the greatest the next morning, we got to see all the little birds flying here and there, squirrels, and hummingbirds.
River: The walking path to the river is very simple. I would say Frio River Cabins seems to have the deepest water in the area along the river we came across. So much Largemouth Bass

LIGHTS everywhere. Doesn't feel like a campground! Walked down to the river and felt like i was in a GIANT tanning booth. Huge bright lights!!!!!!!
Some small path lighting would be nice. But these are spotlights they have posted by the river and other places?
We camp to feel like we are with nature. Not sitting in a car parking lot. We won't be back.

To start, I thought that I was booking our stay at a different cabin with a wholly separate company. Once the reservation was made I realized that I had, in fact, never booked with Frio River Cabins. We decided to go for it! What a happy accident! Cabin 7 was perfection. Quietly isolated and an easy walk down to the water, the cabin was clean had everything needed for us to have a great weekend(You bring your own linens). Photos at the website don't do it justice.
If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is a perfect choice!

Absolutely the worst cabins at the Frio. Do not make a reservation here!
I have been going to the frio for 30+ years and have never been disappointed until this year when booking here.
We went at the end of July and are still waiting for Jessica or Temple to return our call and rectify the situation.

My family and I go to the Frio every summer and this has been the only bad experience, and it was terrible!
I made our reservation for July 28-31 at the beginning of March. The day before we leave I get a call from Temple saying that they double booked us. I asked her who booked first, because I made this reservation 4 months ago. She answered that she did not know.
She offers to put us in another property, so I looked it up on line and agreed, against my better judgement (photos did not look good).
Long story short, we get there after a three-plus hour drive and are regretting it immediately

Our family has been going to the Frio River Cabins for three years now, as an annual family trip. We have stayed in two of the original six cabins, as well as the Shady Oaks property, which is an extended mobile home. The property and the weather are amazing, and the cabins have all the basic amenities. The owners are extremely helpful and responsive. The original 6 cabins are close enough to the water, but require a bit of a hike. Be prepared to carry small toddlers. Definitely bring some chairs that you can set up in shallow water to sit in, and maybe a thick blanket to lay down on the

This place was AWESOME! It's a very short walk to the river.. the scenery is absolutely beautiful too. I must warn you that you if are with Sprint, you probably won't have a cell phone signal. . But AT&T seemed to work just fine. The people there are extremely friendly, and the cabin was very clean. I had a wonderful stay there.. I will definitely be back.

If you haven't been tubing or swimming on the clear cold waters of the Frio River, make your plans to come on down and grab one of the nice clean cabins at Frio River Cabins in Leakey, Tx.. Its a great way to have a good time with friends or family or both and beat the summer heat. These cabins are very clean and have the basics you need. Bring is food, linens, pillows, blankets, towels, insect repellant, coffee, charcoal, well, you get the idea. They have several cabins to choose from. The folks there are very nice and accomodating. We stayed in one of their Original Six cabins over this Spring Break and even though we got rained on we had a blast. The cabin was surprisingly clean and it was fully stocked with everything we needed. After staying at several other cabin rental places in the area I can honestly say that the Frio River Cabins owners take pride in their cabins. Just that fact that the outside area around our cabin was so clean shows that fact. I believe it's a family owned business BC we checked in at the managers home just a short drive away from our cabin. We had nothing to complain about other than the

Nothing but 5 stars for our stay! 14 of us stayed in the Buffalo Creek House and it was just perfect...clean, comfortable and a beautiful view!
We had toliet paper in every bathroom...dish doap..dishwasher soap and even though they had just had 25 people in this house right before us you couldn't tell it!
The owners daughter and son-in-law checked us in and were a delight to deal with! We will recommend Frio River Cabins to family and friends!

Let's start with the check in time on the email we received said 4pm, when checking in we learned it's actually 2! We wasted two hours on nothing! Upon arrival we had to clean our area around the cabin from all the debris from the storm that hit a few days prior. We had no toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap or hand soap that was suppose to be provided. The toaster was broken, the AC wasn't cooling properly and we all woke up hot. The refrigerator wasn't cooling properly that our 8 year old could tell the milk wasn't at the right temp. After the second day we asked for
