When Alan Yu was a boy, he was great in math, science, chemistry, and had a natural talent for fixing stuff without a whole lot of tools.
Oil is the lifeblood of your vehicle. Proper lubrication of all the moving parts means less gas is wasted on overcoming internal friction and more of it is transferred to the tires and wheels to get the vehicle going. Eventually, oil and the vehicle's other lubricants require replacement because the fluids break down over time and become less effective.

I received an offer in the mail for a free diagnostic I went to the shop to meet James and he took care of me. He performed the diagnostic and even printed out what the codes meant. In contrast i went to Mazda and they tried to charge me 215 dollars to do a diagnostics which turns out the check engine light disappeared after a few days. This shop seems trustworthy and I will do them again to service my vehicle.

I thought my car would not be worth the cost of the repairs. The diagnostics found a problem that, previously, another mechanic was not able to fix. GIC fixed that and other problems at much lower cost than would be needed to replace the car.

I love using a small local business for my mechanic needs. I’ve taken my car to the dealer before and I feel they always bamboozle me and add on ridiculous fees and services I don’t truly need. The GIC Clinic team take good care of me and I trust their opinions. The husband and wife team reminds me of my parents and I feel safe knowing that they’re taking care of my car. Helen is amazing! You can tell she really cares about the customers. She’s very knowledgeable, helpful and runs their family owned business well. Mechanics are great and take the time to discuss the best options. The real Superstar is James. He follows up with you, is kind and very professional. GIC has been my go to place for all vehicle services ever since I moved to the Bay area. They provide comprehensive maintenance care plan for cars. If you are moving from other states, their price may not look the cheapest, but it seems pretty nominal for the Bay area. GIC really takes care of your vehicle! I went in for my 40k maintenance which included and oil change and brake check. They thoroughly inspected my car all around and printed a list (with prices!!!) of recommended services. The pages also had photos of what they were referencing , and Alan spent a lot of time going over everything to make sure we understood WHY things needed to be done, and also what can wait a bit. He is also very reassuring that they love nothing more than to take care of the vehicle and prevent large-cost issues in the future. My family has been going to GIC for a long time

I have been going to GIC for all of my car maintenance and repairs for many years. They have done everything from oil changes, breaks to full engine replacement. I have been very pleased with the quality and thoroughness of their work and professional service. My Tesla had a slow leak in 1 tire. Since the Tesla service location is inconvenient, I tried GIC since it is near my home. From the minute I walked up to the office I could tell this wasn't a typical auto repair center. It is clean, the air is filtered and the women working the counter are knowledgeable and efficient. They ordered the special tire… used on Telsa cars. The service technician determined the slow leak was due to a puncture on the side of the tire, so they swapped the tire. The work was done quickly, properly and they even vacuumed my front floor mats when they finished. I

I wasn't happy with some of the recent service/pricing I was getting at my local Goodyear repair shop, so I did a little googling around and found GIC Car Clinic. (I found them through )
I was having an odd Air Conditioning issue (cold on the passenger side, warm on the driver side,) and my rear brakes also needed service.
When I… walked in, I was immediately greeted with: "Hi, I'm Helen!". This was nice since Helen was already helping someone else, but she took the time to acknowledge me, which I appreciated.
All work was completed on time without any surprises. Well, there was one surprise

The staff was very kind and they were nice enough to rent me out a loner car while my car was in there shop. Everyone was really nice and answered all my questions showed me what was wrong with my car and explained what needed to be done and what could wait I will be going back for my other car soon
