I love this place! We go here often and they always have amazing food. I usually get their steak, or hamburger, but I ALWAYS GET THE SALAD BAR! So elated they still have it unlike stupid sonnys. Woot woot, go Brian’s! (Please don’t ever take it out!) it truly is the best locally. Full salad bar always beats any other restaurants “trying” to potentially compete with Brian’s. They just can’t. I love this place went for lunch here earlier it was awesome!

Checking out new places in Deland as we just moved to the area.
We love BBQ and this place is always busy so it was worth a stop by...
Parking was ample but the place was busy so I parked in the back.
The location is easy to get to and easy to get in and out, the place was very nice and super clean, atmosphere was "old Texas like" very cool.
The staff was great! Super friendly very professional and helpful.
The portions were very fair and they have an all you can eat salad bar...
Small inside tip if you go on Monday all draft beer was 5cents...

On my travels through Deland, I kept passing Brians's BBQ. From the outside, it looked promising. I stopped by the other night about 5:30PM, before any dinner rush, if they have one. I decided to try the chicken and ribs as they are often a great barometer to measure a BBQ joint by. I was seated quickly and the waitress was great. To start, the sauces, yuck. The "mustard" sauce could have been pure yellow mustard. I could not tell the difference. The other sauces were just so far off from what I am used to, I stayed away from them. It may be my personal preference, but all the sauces, except ketchup

Last night was the second time we came to this place and it was strictly for the salad bar. My husband decided to try their wings. They were the worst wings we have ever had. They were dry and the skin looked really weird. I don't think we will even be back for the salad bar because it is very difficult to reach items. If you're a person with long arms or a man, it will work out for you, however, the items that are in the back row are very difficult to reach. We had horrible service the second time. After trying several of the BBQ spots around Deltona/Orange City/Deland I finally found one that's a destination rather than "I guess were near X so we can go there"
We went the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and after our experience I was sad I had already planned to cook the next day because I bet their thanksgiving dinner special was fire.

I really enjoyed this Restaurant. The salad bar buffet has everything you need to make urself a wonderful salad...even the dressings we're good. The brisket was shaved thinly which I loved because it makes it easier to eat and dip into the bbq sauce. Chicken had a nice smokey flavor and overall would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good local BBQ. Kyrsten our waitress had everything on point!!

If you are going to eat there, fine. If you get something to go like I do, remember to "ALWAYS" check the order completely. 100% of my to do orders have either been missing something or they give you someone elses order. I am sick and tired of getting home and not getting what I paid for. Yes, they are sorry but that doesn't help. Management needs to get on top of the situation because it happens on a continuous basis

We usually enjoy the food here. Today was the first time I tried the baby back ribs lunch.
Sad to say they were not good.
It looked like they Ribs were boiled the added sauce and thrown on the grill,
Also had the leftover flavor, almost like the meat was going bad.
They were not smoked, there was no smoke ring color in the meat, no smoke flavor.
Sorry to see this in the food service, we usually love this place.

I have lived in this area for 6 years and the best bar-b-q place I can find is Sonny's in Orange city. I been told this was the place to have ribs. My baby back ribs came with so little meat on the bones it was criminal to say they was ribs. Asked for a refill twice of my sweet tea which never turned up. No this is not going to be my go to place.

If you order a quarter piece of white meat chicken which consists of breast and wing. More than half of the breast is missing (tenderloin) manager came to tell me I didn’t get it. 🙃 then tried to tell me that they come like that. They just take a cleaver and chop where the wing ends. What I would like to know where the tenderloin left on the chop board ends up???

It is such a treat to meet the owner behind such a wonderful BBQ experience. Brian Hill has extensive roots here in Deland and is the savvy of an owner/operator rather than a franchise restaurant. Brian selects the sources of all menu items, butchering in-house.
The food has been described in other reviews, and I concur. Everything we ate was well prepared and delivered. The friendly service, including Brian's daughter Mary, is integral to a perfect place to take your family or grab a delicious meal to go.

Very happy we stopped here. Passed this on a motorcycle ride to Daytona and stopped for dinner on our way back. Loved the old school decor, very cozy, and inviting. Had not only covered outside seating, but a picnic area under some tree's! Staff were all very polite and personable. Was amazed to see they had a salad bar! Everything was clean and fresh. Our order was prepared very quickly and was delicious. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

This restaurant is small town feel. Food was fresh, and every employee I came in contact with was kind and just made you feel like your at home. I haven't had a salad as good as the one I had when I was there in a long time! All you can eat salad bar was delicious. I had ribs and chicken and the meat was tender and juicy. They have specials throughout the week and I highly recommend this restaurant. Not too expensive, good food, and all around I enjoyed myself. Well done.

Went back to see if anything changed, it actually got worse. Overheard how Brian treats his employees and all I can say is, never go here. He supposedly cussed at these girls and calls them names. Could never. Don't eat nor support this place. Brian commented back on every review except mine!! Must mean something.

No Brian, I don't know what your manager told you, but he ABSOLUTELY did not offer to remove it from my bill. In fact, he insisted YOU had them do it this way and essentially said it was out of his control. That's why I argued with him. Had he offered to honor the price I was told, we wouldn't be here now. Also unclear why I never got a call despite your manager saying you would call me to sort it out. Look at your recent reviews. You have a problem with your staff and it's costing you customers. You can choose to accept that and make the necessary changes or continue to defend

I wrote a review almost 1 week ago. Then Brian of Brian's BBQ responded with the phone # & for me to call HIM. I called & he wasn't there so I left a message. Since then I have called 2 times _ talked to 2 different managers & they said "yes we will speak with Brian & he WILL call you back". Ppl are ONLY as good as their word. We will NEVER eat there again & we will continue to tell everyone how sick we got on that Sunday chicken. Truly disappointing. Sonny is good & Pit Master is good & ALOT of oil mom & pop restaurants.

Great food! I had the Monterey Hickory Chicken Sandwich minus the bun as I am low-carb, with salad bar. The salad bar had a nice variety and the Chicken was delicious. Chicken breast lightly covered with BBQ sauce topped with cheese, bacon, mushrooms and onions... combines most of my favorite foods. My lunch buddie had soup and the Honey Garlic wings. I got to sample the wings and I want to know if the are planning on bottling that sauce so I can have it at home!

We ordered delivery from here. I liked how we were kept apprised of the events of our order. Thanks about the only positive thing I can say. We ordered 3 rib sandwiches with fried and slaw, 1 Monterey Hickory chicken sandwich with cole slaw and Mac and cheese, 1 john Wayne burger with sweet potato and bacon and cheese grits, onion rings and Jalapeño/cheddar potato bites.

Exactly the roadside barbeque restaurant experience we have been seeking for several years. Smoked to perfection on site with a perfect hardwood and other flavor. This is not the wet and tart stuff from another region or sticky sweet from somewhere else. We went for the pork ribs. I enjoyed large, tender meaty ribs. My wife was very happy with baby back ribs. Prices are quite reasonable and portions generous. Side dish choices are so good and there is a large salad bar available. This meal was well worth our 25 mile drive. Service was cheerful, prompt and effecient. We will return.
