I have been a patient at Brownstone Dermatology for well over 5 years, and I am always pleased with the thorough care I receive, as well as the professionalism and friendliness of the staff.

I waited an hour and a half for my appointment and everyone was extremely rude and acted as though waiting that long was acceptable.

I have been a patient for several years seeing various providers there only a few times. Today I saw Dr Cassel for the first time for a new condition that seems to be getting worse. She provided me with a new medication and a plan for it if it does not improve. Dr. Cassel was extremely personable and made me feel comfortable. I did have to wait for 30 minutes, but I'm happy to wait for a caring and positive provider.
*****UPDATED***** 2 years later I am not able to get in contact with anyone to make an appointment. They never answer the phone and make it very clear in their message that "they

I was scheduled for laser vein treatment with Dr.Cassel. The office manager came in prior to Dr.Cassel for me to sign for consent of treatment. I mentioned to her that I had a few questions for Dr.Cassel prior to the procedure since I was not given any pre or post treatment instructions. Long story short, Dr.Cassel came in 50 mins after my scheduled appt. and later told me she chose to see her other patients first because I sounded like a “difficult” patient according to her office manager. I told her I was concerned because I did not have the appropriate compression stockings with me since

I had a bill that was being sent to my OLD address. I was unaware of this and it went to collections. I called brownstone to schedule an appointment and they said I am NEVER allowed back due to that bill not being paid on time, despite me offering to pay it on the spot and after confirming with them they were sending it to the wrong address. Apparently this is policy with them. I understand wanting bills paid, but to actually be sending it to the WRONG address ..... Seems to me like they care a little less about the patients, and all about the money.

I had a great experience at Brownstone Dermatology. The staff were competent, friendly and helpful. The decor had a neat historical feel. The reception area was comfortable and well laid out. Thank you to the staff and providers. It’s nice to see an individual office with a personality of its own, not a corporate conglomerate.

Dermatologists are extremely hard to find in this area which is the only reason why I continue to go to brownstone dermatology. I am a current patient at this practice and have grown very frustrated and annoyed at their lack of patient service. Just to start, the receptionists are rude, short, and surly. Anytime you call to make an appointment or request a medication refill they act like it is the biggest inconvenience. If you call for an appointment you won't get one for at least six to eight months out. Not so great if you're worried about a spot that you think might be cancerous! In addition

Dermatology in central Harrisburg is difficult to find availability, but it does not give anyone the right to provide less then adequate customer service. I placed a call this morning to verify an appointment that I made one year ago this month for an appointment this afternoon. No answer, so I left a message. At 1 PM I called again to confirm before leaving work because I never received a call back. The receptionist confirmed my appointment. I arrived 20 minutes early and was informed my appointment was cancelled and was rescheduled for a later time. I had a similar experience last year. I highly

Initial visit went well even though there was an excessive wait time even though I arrived early. The staff booked my next appointment a month out but I received a call a week before my next appointment to be informed that the dermatologist has left the practice and they will have to reschedule me 3-4 months later. Even though they had more dermatologists on staff they didn't seem to care or want to try to better accommodate their clients. We were just being shoved to the back of the line.
