Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment. Our teachers bring unique skills to our classrooms. They guide the learning process and facilitate an atmosphere which is conducive to key Montessori principles: Grace, Courtesy, Leadership, Self Esteem, Independence.

Services
Children's House of Exton is a state-licensed, private, academic preschool and Kindergarten, which has taught children the joy of learning since 1973. Our program offers a carefully planned and stimulating environment where children 2 years 9 months through 5 years of age can progress at their own pace and level of readiness / development.
Our mission is to create a learning environment in which children are surrounded by adults ready to meet the unique needs of young learners. Our school provides children with a variety of hands-on materials and experiences in order to encourage the children's love of learning and their confidence in being independent learners.

We believe the purpose of early childhood education is to cultivate a child's natural curiosity and desire to learn at an early age, when they are eagerly and spontaneously absorbing everything in their environment.A Montessori classroom is a "hands-on" environment which is prepared, orderly and interesting.

When looking for a Montessori education for your child, it is important to look closely at the program offered by the school. While the name "Montessori" is meant to describe a certain philosophy, the term is not trademarked. There are no rules to monitor how a school or daycare uses the term Montessori or how their approach to education conforms to the teachings of the Montessori Method.

My two sons attended Children's House of Exton for Preschool and full day Kindergarten. I was not familiar with Montessori before they attended school there, but now I am a firm believer. The Montessori method helps the students experience all types of learning including reading, math and practical life skills.
All the teachers there are outstanding. Mrs. Nace taught my sons mathematics and they left Kindergarten adding and subtracting 4 digit numbers, doing basic multiplication and division and starting an introduction into fractions. Mrs. Yohannan, the head teacher, is kind, patient and has

This will be the third year with Children's House and I can't wait for it to begin. The curriculum is extensive and covers all the areas (social, math, art, culture, reading). The school teaches them discipline without being too strict, respect and other values which enhances their personality. My son loves all the teachers and looks forward to go to school each day. Communication with teachers is easy. This is the best school in my opinion for young kids .

This is a true Montessori school with well-trained and compassionate teachers. The lead teacher, Mrs. Yohannon, is simply the best. She is sweet and hardworking and knows her students so well. All of the other teachers that help in the classroom are like family. They are truly some of the most patient and caring adults I have seen work with children. Karen Nace, the head of the school, is awesome. I had two kids go through Children's House and can say that I spent many evenings just talking with Karen Nace about how my child learns and what is in her/his best interest. She works hard to make Children

Children's House is such an important extension of our family. All of the teachers are fantastic, and truly care about the children. The Montessori method is such a wonderful learning style, that has not only been a valuable part of our children's lives, but mine as well as I am also a Children's House of Exton graduate (30 years ago!). The school, simply cannot be beat!! Thank you to all of the CHE staff.

What an amazing school! My child has excelled so much in just a year of attending the Children's House of Exton, that I tell all my friends with young children that they need to check it out. My second son, when he is old enough will attend as well!
I don't think the school would be as amazing if it wasn't for the staff. The first day I toured the school I knew they would embrace my child and care for him as I would during the day.
We love it so much that we signed up for all the camps this summer and are very excited to see what next year brings.
I would highly recommend taking a tour of this

We are thrilled with program and staff at Children's House of Exton. The programs, teachings, and values adhere to the Montessori principles. Our daughter flourished while attending Pre-K and Full Day Kindergarten. After 3 years in this environment, she had acquired a high level of confidence and social acumen, she learned self-reliance and practical life skills, and received an education that more than prepared her for 1st grade. What a wonderful experience!

My son attended CHE for Pre-K and Full Day Kindergarten. During my first visit to the school to meet the teacher and director/owner, I knew this school was the perfect choice for my son. This school is a true Montessori School. The children have the ability to choose work that they enjoy. They are also encouraged to complete other works in the curriculum. EVERY teacher there is extremely warm and nurturing to all of the children. Since it is a true Montessori school, there is mixed ages of students. Often times, the older students will teach the younger students as it is encouraged in the Maria

We love Chidren's House of Exton! When searching for a preschool for my oldest child, another mom advised me to find a place where she would be loved and nurtured. I am so happy to have found that and more at CHE! The teachers are phenomenal. They are not only experts at developing the love of learning that is so unique to a Montessori experience, they are passionate about building up the children's budding self-concepts. After graduating from the program my daughter deemed herself a "math whiz", no doubt a result of Mrs. Nace's sweet encouragement and support of her natural interest in math. I
