Catcom did an excellent job replacing speakers and installing a new board to replace a USB port on my 14 year old MacBook Pro. Apple service had refused to attempt the repairs and suggested I just buy a new machine. For a very reasonable price Catcom refurbished the machine and it’s working like new. Technicians were professional and communicative. Highly recommend.

About 4 months ago, I brought in a Dell Latitude 5500 for repair because of a screen that wouldn't display anything. I handed them the computer, told them what was wrong, and paid them for the diagnostic. I was told the computer would be fine in about two weeks. Two weeks pass, and no word. About a month later, they call back, and turns out the screen wasn't the problem. It was the motherboard. They offered to replace it, and I accepted. Great, easy experience. I brought in an external hard drive on which the USB cord's connection had become detached. I was prepared to pay to have all of my backed-up files protected, whether it be through repairing the drive or moving them to a new drive. I was very pleasantly surprised by the number of options that were offered to me to resolve the situation. My situation was resolved faster and for cheaper than expected - I was very happily satisfied.

After going to the Apple Store and checking online sites and being told a power chord I need is unavailable, one call to these guys and my problem was solved. They knew what the others didn’t and I drove to their shop and got

I went to Radio Shack and Staples looking for help. No luck. I was on my way home when by chance I spotted Catcom's store front. Success! The young man who helped me was far more knowledgeable and willing to help me than the so-called techies at Radio Shack and Staples. He knew that the part I needed for my Asus laptop was comparable to a Toshiba part. A few minutes later, i was in my car heading home with the part I needed. Problem solved. Reasonable price. Great customer service.

Took my computer here for repair and can say I'm pretty satisfied. $25 for the diagnostic and then labor and parts just as if you're to go to a mechanic for your car. Also just like going to a mechanic it may cost you, but when you're not a tech head like myself then it may be worth it. I'm not completely computer illiterate but I tried for about a week to figure what was wrong myself but couldn't. Im also sure this place is a better alternative to say Geek squad at Best Buy both for a better deal and to support a smaller business. Speaking of deals they have a couple of

Great local computer repair place. I have been going to these guys for many many years. Always fast and fair service. Great place to get your Mac or PC repaired. The guys that work there and the owner have always been very honest and fair when they have been advising me about the issues I am having with my technology. These guys are the best. Have been dealing with Catcom for almost 15 years and have always left happy. The owner Cat is great and very knowledable. He offers fair and fast diagnostics and can get the job done at a fair price. Have always felt like the people working here advise the customer on what's best for them, not pushing the customer to spend a fortune. If a computer isn't worth fixing they will be honest about it. Give this place a try and you won't be disappointed.

Based on other reviews, I called them ahead of time to explain what was wrong with my computer, and confirm that they had the tools to either get the system to post or triage which part was dead. I was assured they could do this both over the phone and again at the register.

I had an issue with the battery on my brand new Macbook pro, so I took it to Catcom computers where they informed me that I just needed a new battery. They said my warranty would cover it and I could pick it up the next day. Well the next morning they called me and informed me that my brand new computer was water damaged, which voided my warranty, and that they would have to replace the entire bottom panel costing me well over $500. I told them I would be taking my computer elsewhere.

I am one of the many who have learned the hard way in concerns to Applecare's warranty not covering accidental damage. Needless to say, I recently had a hiccup and broke my computer screen.
