The cabin was very clean and roomy. The kitchen table was large enough for our meals and to play board games. We enjoyed the porch and the rocking chairs. There were nice breezes and we did not need to use air conditioning (1st week of June). The location was very nice for exploring Smoky Mountains National Park. Initially I thought the price was fair and we were told there would be a $30 cleaning fee, which I took to mean for our entire time there. However it turned out the $30 cleaning fee was for each night, even though no one came in to clean each day and you need to bring your own sheets and

Great place to stay cabin was very nice spacious and very clean we enjoyed the outdoor fire pit was equipped with everything you need just bring your clothes and food also right by the river very quiet overall excellent place to stay the owners were super nice we look forward to making this our place to stay when we visit

Excellent place to stay. Very clean, beautiful, rustic cabins, on the Oconaluftee River, close to attractions, and the casino, in Cherokee, NC. Owners were so accommodating, friendly, and have everything you need in the full kitchen. The gas fireplace is cozy, and comfortable furnishings add to the overall country ambiance. There is a television too! A definite must-stay!

Been staying at Huskey Cabins every year for over 8 years now. What a wonderful opportunity to be able to stay at such a marvelous place. They are great old cabins that me and my family enjoy. Fully stocked kitchen I still bring my favorite cooking pans and extras. They are not new fancy cabins but that's what I like about them. Big covered porch with rockers and chairs great relaxing environment not far at all from town. If you fish like I do its perfect always catch big fish at the turn. Beautiful setting, river in back yard you can sit on the covered porch in rockers and watch the river go by. Cabin is so nice and clean! They have everything you need to cook meals. Outside grill and picnic table with a fire pit . Owners are so nice and friendly, good people. Absolutely LOVE this place. Always love Cherokee and The Principle People.

Stayed two nights last week, very disappointing. The main reason I had booked here was the cabin being on the river. I had two children and wanted a place where they could play in the water. Unfortunately the discharge for Cherokee Sewer plant is straight across from the cabins. Others said they fished and swam there, sorry not me or my kids. Not an overwhelming odor but an odor none the less. This was unfortunate but figured we could do other things. This was bad enough, worse was the floors had not been swept in the cabin, food crumbs and grit everywhere. The vinyl flooring was so dingy behind

We are so grateful we got the oppurtunity to stay Friday and left Sunday here in December of 2014. This place was spotless, no bugs, kitchen was fully stocked with dish soap and all appliances and dishes. Bathroom was large and cozy feeling and they two bedrooms were spacious. The heat worked perfectly and my only complaint was the weekend moved by too fast.
