My name is Tracy McElfresh and I'm the owner of Tracy's Sewing Studio. We are a small independent business located in Kettering, Ohio specializing in clothing alterations, sewing repairs, custom creations, clothing replicas, costumes and group lessons for the beginner to the advanced. Since 2004 I have been making custom dresses for the public and teaching the art of sewing.

Alterations Report

Need something altered to get that perfect fit? We do alterations with great integrity. Plus we have one of the quickest turn around times in town. Most alterations and sewing services are completed in one week from drop off date. Formal wear especially during wedding season (March-July and September-October) can take a longer.

NOLA has a bunch of amazing fabric stores, including the last couture fabric shop in the south, Promenade. My blog as has taken a back seat after the newest Apple update crashed my computer. Apple was kind enough to wipe it clean and restore it to a 2014 update - and today I am writing you from my cell phone.

Tracy altered my daughter's wedding dress and did an amazing job. She is also going to hand make her veil. She has been totally willing to work with our crazy!
The dress had a scalloped edge and she took the edge off, hemmed it and put the lace back on!!
She has a homey shop in Rosewood art center. Would definitely use again.

I found Tracy on Instagram and had her do alterations on a bridesmaid dress for an upcoming wedding . She is very personable and professional. She was upfront about pricing and explained where she would make the alterations clearly. She had my dress ready for me a week after my first appointment and everything is perfect.
