Rental pricing is based on weekly rentals. Get free delivery with orders over $90 or pick up at the shop for free and have bicycles professionally adjusted. Shorter or longer rental time frames are available, please call the shop to book. Call to inquire about daily or hourly rentals. NC Law requires all bikes to have lights at night.
We rent our standup paddle boards, kayaks & surfboards on a weekly, daily, or hourly basis to meet your specific needs. There is nothing like catching your first wave or taking in the coastal views and wildlife from your kayak or stand up paddle board / SUP rental. Located between the ocean and sound, the Outer Banks offers endless stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking & surfing activities and adventures for you and your group.
Explore the coastal marshes on the sound or take the kayak rental for a ride in the ocean. We offer single and tandem kayaks depending on your wants and needs. All of our kayak rentals come fully equipped with paddles and life jackets. Your kayak rentals are good for a full week, so you can take as many sunrise and sunset cruises as you'd like.
If you're looking for a leisurely cruise on the water and a great workout, stand up paddleboard rentals are the way to go. SUP boarding is a great watersport that all ages can enjoy. The soundside offers calm waters for a smooth and relaxing ride. Once you get the hang of it, paddle out on the ocean and try and catch some waves.
Paddle out and enjoy some of the best waves on the east coast while you're on the Outer Banks. Our weekly surfboard rentals give you enough time to improve your skills and start catching some waves during your vacation. Our boards are the right size for intermediate and novice surfers. We can deliver your board to your rental home or you can pick it up at the shop for a professional adjustment.

Yes, my name is Richard , I’ve stopped by this shop on three occasions , was never approached asking if I needed help , prices , etc. I was in the market for two bikes and really wanted to buy local, However, they lacked the skills to approach a customer, who needed assistance and advice, on all three visits. I saw, from a sign in the window saying they were voted best bike shop on the beach, not sure how this happened from my experience. I’m still in the market for two bikes, but WILL NOT buy them from this shop. I usually don’t write unfavorable reviews, but this needed some attention.

Rented bike for a week. The bike was fine but the customer service was so bad I will most definitly never return and strongly recommend others to avoid dealing with them. The employee wrote the wrong date on my rental paperwork and when I returned the bike they told me I had rented it for over a week and accused me of lying. These guys in this shop are condescending and rude. The worst customer service I've experienced in a long time.

Being a business owner myself. I look to do businesses with establishments that give you that honest opinion about a product and prices. They did that for us today. I purchased a bike for my wife. They were busy (2) men working hard answering phones working on bikes in the back and also dealing with all of us customers some of which were in a big hurry. But no matter what they both took the time with each of us. And were both very kind and extremely knowledgeable. The gentleman that helped us has worked for this business for over 20 years. You can’t beat experience and that sold us on the bike

Man I can't say enough about this place. Crank feel apart on my bike at 8 a.m. I called around 10 and they said to come on by. They dropped what they were doing to get me back up and running. Saved my early morning vacation rides for the rest of the week for sure. I was expecting to pay alot more, so it was an absolute win. Ill be sure to use the shop whenever I'm in town if my bike is in need. Staff was really friendly and helpful also.

GREAT PLACE. Just purchased our second bike from them. Fair prices, great advice, great service. Got a great, hard to find 3G cruiser. I've also stopped in a few times for some minor service...spokes, tubes, or tires, and despite heavy summer crowds they were friendly, helpful, and got the job done quick! Staff is great. Highly recommend these guys!!

I went to the shop first thing on Tuesday morning around 10:30 to get the calipers loosened on my bike. There were no customers in the store and was hoping to get a quick adjustment. He wanted me to leave the bike which I did not feel comfortable doing because I paid alot of money for it and honestly did not feel comfortable leaving it at a shop that I have never been to before. When I asked him for an appointment he told me no... so I left without getting service. This is very disappointing because I was looking forward to a good ride in Nags Head.

I've specifically driven down from the VA Peninsula with a bike problem and have never been disappointed with the professional service and helpful friendly attitudes of those employed by OBX Bicycles. Plus it's owner is usually there which, to me, says a lot about how he feels a good shop needs to be run!! Highly recommend this business for any of your bike's needs!!

They were great!!! We rented two road carbon bikes at a very reasonable price and 3 bikes for the kids. The place looks a bit run down but don't let that fool you. They have great mechanics, made all the changes we needed on the bikes, put on bottle cages on the kid's bikes, and were easy to work with. The mechanic cleaned and lubed the drive train for us on the road bikes without me even asking.
I reserved the road bikes on their website which was very easy to use. I called the shop before I reserved them and they advised me to reserve the bikes on the website before they get taken.
