Just not enjoying the Insurance policies. Their on-line tools are severely lacking, I cannot have ALL my policies on one page, I need to set up multiple accounts. No automatic billing options. The fact you charge a fee for monthly to do monthly payments is PATHETIC.... Already looking to move to a new company..... But hey, at least you have the biggest flag in Sheboygan county ....

When we suffered a devastating loss four years ago today, Acuity Insurance was right there for us. Our shop burned with several semi trucks, motorcycles, numerous tools and lots of equipment inside. They were easy to deal with and exceedingly helpful.

I’m not thrilled with Acuity raising my insurance each year. It’s not necessary. Also, in the renewal paperwork, Acuity states they use Carfax determine what a car has been through, accidents, repairs, maintenance, etc. There is no entity that is required to report to Carfax anything about a vehicle, not the police, not car repair places, not car insurance and certainly not the DMV. The Police not the DMV keep records on card United they are stolen or salvage vehicles. The info Carfax gets using a vin number anyone can use and a fraction of the cost. I'm used Acuity for several years. Unfortunately year after year after year they keep raising my rates. I finally switched to another company they had more coverage for half the price. They're charging me $550 for switching companies. I highly recommend not using this company

Acuity recently helped me with my auto claim and it was quickly resolved. Tim was very prompt and professional... he gave me a call less than 24 hours after I filed the claim. When all was said and done, he educated me on my options. I received a check for my car really fast. The experience was great! Tim was a great communicator. Currently, I'm working with Erin on a home claim and this experience is great so far too!

I have been a policyholder with Acuity for the better part of 20 years, and have had nothing but good things to say about them. The policy is what I expected when I signed up. The cost has always been affordable and justified. The company has very professional employees, agents and claims adjustors. My experience with a claim, was nothing short of amazing. As a new small excavation contractor business, Acuity has helped with our needs for a general liability policy. This policy comes with good rates and availability when some of the other bigger companies wouldn’t look at us. I have had to make contact with them directly without going through local insurance agent and event that experience was extremely pleasant. Pleased with their services, ease of online applications, and customer service. Highly recommend.

This company totally ruined my family. They played as "good guys" at first but later denied everything and started to push for my family to pay a huge medical bill through arguments that are not sustainable. My dad went through the whole process of exams, and we requested a second opinion. They denied and forced my dad to stick with the same doctor. After going through a long treatment process that my dad wasn't 100% confident about the doctor, they requested a second opinion without telling my family. This second opinion was a doctor that they have chosen that advocated for them

A tornado hit our home August 10th. I filed a claim for property damage on August 25th. It is September 22nd and we are no closer to making repairs to our home. All that has happened is they sent out a person to take pictures and that person didn't know what to do.
Why do I pay premiums? Isn't this the point of insurance, to guard against the worst scenarios? Am I going to have to pay for all the damages myself?
Every kind of insurance I've ever had has been much faster than this. They're so disorganized.

One of their drivers hit my car and they are absolutely unable to work with you. They lost two different pieces of paper work in the mail one of them being the title of my totaled car. Now in order to get the $100 they owe me I have to get a duplicate title. The license plate place is not open until July to do so due to covid. I have explained this to them they said the $100 is no longer available because I was taking so long to get the title. Not to mention whenever they call they call at the same time every day between 9:30-10. Then they wonder why I don't answer the phone hmmm almost like

Absolutely the worst experience with an insurance company ever. I've paid for homeowners and auto coverage for years, and they denied my claim saying the water damage happened before I bought my house. I had documentation from my home inspection that listed no hail damage and they still refused to help. No caring or respect for the customer. Looking elsewhere. Don't trust them. Too bad there's no zero rating-that's what they deserve.

Had Acuity for over two years. Never had a claim. Paid my annual premium in full/no installments. Had/advised windshield coverage on all vehicles when policy was started on day one. I called last week to process claim on first windshield replacement. Acuity stated not covered. I asked for them to research. Acuity called back, stated all vehicles (three vehicles) had windshield coverage but the one I needed coverage on. I explained I requested for all vehicles to have same coverages from day one. Top quality service and customer care team. Cannot complain at all, the one year homeowners renewal went up 3% which is in line with inflation.
They bill the mortgage company a full month ahead of time in order to keep the early payment discount in force and avoid a possible late charge if the mortgage company receives the invoice at a late date.
The website is easy to navigate and simple too.
Regards to all the yelpers out there. So many times people only belch & yelp when unhappy, this is unfair and thus it is important to point out good service when you get it.

This is the first review I have ever taken the time to write. That being said, I have given Acuity far too many chances to correct their mistakes and yet again I open my renewal paperwork last night and the vehicle I requested to be removed in October is still very much on the policy and I've continued to be auto charged to insure a car I no longer own. If this was the first, or even the 3rd mistake, I would not be writing this. We have been with this company since 2012, in that time, we have been overcharged for our property insurance, they were taking the annual premium from my escrow account

We have had Acuity Insurance for our business, house and cars. We have always had GREAT service and response from our agent as well as an adjuster when we had a loss. We lost our business from a fire and my husband totaled our car from an animal on the road. Acuity was always helpful and very fair with any claims. We will be moving this year and be looking for an Acuity agent in our new state. Thank you Acuity for great service and being fair.

Big mistake trusting a broker and not doing my own homework before going with them for our insurance. Apparently, they work with a third party (LexisNexis) and your rate goes up by 14%. They don't tell you why your rate increased so you have to call them and they are as helpful as talking to a wall. All they say is your insurance rating dropped by so many points and you have to go back to their third party to find out why. We've had Acuity for over 15 years. Everything was going great until i spoke with State Farm. We were over paying paying more than $ 3000.00 per year :( Insane. I would highly recommend you stay away from them. Left a message for their audit manager regarding last years audit. He never called back. Then i get a call from their collections attorney threatening me with a law suit. BAD Business.

I use this company for commercial Auto Insurance on my service vehicles I paid everything online I asked them to drop one of the vehicles that I sold two months later I double check with my agent if the vehicle has been removed come to find out they never removed it and charge me two months for a vehicle I did not have anymore buy fault of insurance company not agent when it came time for renewal at some point they changed the numbers in my address on my file and sent me my renewal bill to the wrong address which I never received until a point where my agent had call me to tell me Insurance had

Stay away from Acuity. Their customer service practices are appalling (make you feel like they are doing you a favor when you have a request) and they make no attempt to keep you happy as a customer.
I have submitted a claim once (hit and run), they did very little to pursue the other party leaving me to pay for the entire deductible.
Their website is old (circa 2006) and out of date and does not give me much comfort around their data security practices.
I will be ending my policy with Acuity, I recommend you move on to another insurance company.

They always say you never know how GOOD your insurance is until you have to use them. While my experience is not TYPICAL we were very pleasantly surprised by the ease of use and the wonderful adjusters that we had to deal with in the past year.
Let me first say that we have Acuity insurance for both our home owner's insurance and our auto coverage. We have now and have always had full coverage on our vehicles even though they are older cars because we keep our cars for their lifetime and keep them in excellent working and cosmetic condition.
