State Licensed in-home child care provider for toddler, preschooler and kindergarten age children. It is the policy of the Colorado Department of Human Services ("the State Department") to promote and encourage child care in environments that contribute to the safety, health, protection and well-being of children.
To verify compliance with standards intended to ensure such an environment, the State Department requires thorough and ongoing appraisals of child care facilities, persons working in the child care profession, and the nature of care provided. A family child care home is required to be licensed when care is provided to two or more unrelated children at any one time.

We had moved to Colorado from out of state and were looking for a daycare option for my son for after school and on days he did not have school. We reached out to Joan and requested a tour of her home and more information. She seemed kind, but she had the kids penned up into 2 rooms while her dogs ran free in the rest of the house! Many of the kids she watched were younger than 2, but she and her husband were not masked or vaccinated and the older children were not masked. I just did not feel comfortable sending my kid to a daycare that isn't following health guidelines.

While needing to work as a mom in this economy I am relieved to have found Beacon Point Child Care. We wanted an in-home day care over an institutional type of setting for our child which provides a loving and safe place while we are working to make ends meet. Joan also works with the kids to make sure they are ready for preschool by teaching them numbers, letters and colors as well as some sight words which is helpful too.

Love this place as they do kids of all ages, well. It is easy to give Joan a great review after what she has done with helping our kids to socialize and share. She works to help them learn colors, numbers and letters so that when it was time for preschool our little one could already write their name. Thanks!

Joan is wonderful with our little one who is now potty training as well as getting past the pacifier. She runs up the sidewalk when we arrive which is such a relief from previous daycare because she would cry when we pulled up so we knew it was time for a change. Boy what a difference it has been for us to know that she is being well cared for and having fun while we are at work.
