I just wanted to thank you again for your part in making Lindsay's wedding so wonderful. One of the most frequent comments I heard from our guests concerned the wonderful food that was served. Your staff did such a good job of setting up and serving. Everything was perfect. Would you share the recipe for the marinade you used on the chicken and especially the flank steak?

Emily put together a beyond fabulous menu for our company Christmas party and I can't thank her enough. Everyone loved the food so much and the portions were very generous. In fact, one diner exclaimed that "this was the best catered meal" she'd EVER had. And I would tend to agree. Thank you, Food for Thought!! You guys are amazing!

Paige and Sam honestly made our wedding celebration SO MUCH BETTER. We are so eternally grateful for their sweetness, professionalism, and attention to detail. The set-up of our dining table was amazing; Sam even picked wild flowers from the yard to add to it. Literally the sweetest. Our wedding was super small and intimate, immediate family only, and we could not have been more happy to have them there with us. They fit right in, and it wouldn't have been the same without them there. MUCH LOVE, Paige + Sam! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Emily could not have been more gracious in working to plan our family's trip to Big Sky. The menus were thoughtful, locally sourced and responsive to the needs of our group. I would highly recommend Food for Thought and their extensive offering of services for your next catered event.

We used FFT to cater a small birthday dinner for 12 people in Big Sky last month. It was extremely easy to work with Emily and select our menu for the dinner. The garlic infused mashed potatoes, mac n cheese and braised bison in pan jus with crispy onions were absolutely delicious. It was also very easy to perpare the food, which made FFT's drop-off catering a great option for groups that aren't comfortable with an in-home chef right now.

Food For Thought did a fantastic job catering our wedding. The food was absolutely delicious. It was effortless to work with Emily to create our perfect menu, and she made sure everything ran smoothly the day of. We needed a vegan entree for some of our guests, and the wild-mushroom stuffed potatoes with cashew creme was a hit. The lemon pesto chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The servers were professional and helpful. We couldn't be happier with our catering choice. I highly recommend FFT.

Food for Thought Catering is an incredible company. From start to finish, Emily and her team helped us craft the perfect evening, and the food was outstanding. With a significant shift in our event attendance and some restrictions due to the public health crisis, they were able to quickly adapt and help us modify our menu appropriately. The passed hors d'oeuvres were amazing (elk skewers & bison meatballs!!), the meal was all around delicious (served buffet, very professional), and dessert and late night snacks made everyone happy. The staff was incredible and very personable. It felt as though

Maria, Emily and the whole Food for Thought team were an absolute delight to work with. My husband and I live in Colorado and chose to get married outside of Bozeman, and Food for Thought is one of the reasons we're so glad we did. Maria is kind, fun and impeccably professional, she made planning from out of state a breeze. From our signature cocktails to our delicious menu, everything was fantastic. My husband and his groomsmen are still talking about the chocolate mousse....

Wow! Food for Thought was one of the best decisions we could have made (apart from deciding to get married). FFT catered our August wedding and we were blown away by every aspect of their business. We went in for a tasting and the food was delicious, the menu was attentive to our requests, and the folks that work there were amazing. From that point on, we had nothing but positive experience with them. Working with Emily and Maria was easy because they are organized, diligent, thoughtful, and always responded to even the silliest of my questions! On our wedding day, we didn't have to worry for even

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!
I contracted Food for Thought to prepare a private 12-course meal as a surprise proposal dinner for my girlfriend. We have traveled the world and dined at many dozens of Michelin-starred restaurants… our fine dining bar is set pretty high! Not only did Chef Austin and Maria rise to the challenge to replicate a restaurant experience and give us a meal to remember, they absolutely knocked it out of the park and gave us the best meal of our lives! From our first planning conversation, through multiple menu iterations and check-ins, to world-class execution in the kitchen, the

Food for Thought recently catered our wedding at Foster Creek Farm, and it was an excellent experience. Emily and Maria are both so helpful, and adjusted things along the way to ensure we had exactly what we hoped for. It was a destination wedding, and while we did a tasting on one of our trips to town, everything else had to be managed from afar. They could not have been more excellent in assisting with this.

We love food, and plan whole vacations around restaurants to visit, so it was important to have outstanding food at our wedding. FFT really exceeded expectations in this area. It was customized

We had Food For Though prepare a celebratory meal for four people on our first trip to Big Sky, MT, and it was the culinary highlight of our entire week. The food was incredible - perfectly balanced, local, and very creative. Our group is from Manhattan and is used to going out to all sorts of restaurants; the meal we had would have been a stellar meal out on any night in NY. The staff was professional, lovely, timely, and courteous. They were interactive and answered all of our questions, but still allowed for a sense of privacy for our party. We would not hesitate to call them again on our next

We recently had the pleasure of working with and experiencing Food for Thought in Bozeman. It was outrageously delicious and beautifully served.

The FFT staff took care of everything, including managing 2 different food allergies. **as the bride, it was very important to me to be able to enjoy my food without worry, and the FFT staff were so accommodating. They also worked with us to create a 'tapas like' menu as this is a love of ours.

They came to our event, handled everything and cleaned up too.
The servers were so polite and hepful.

Bottom line, the food was out of this world

We had a small event for work last night and Food for Thought was SO accommodating in making food that fit the dietary needs of our staff (veterinarian, no gluten, no eggs) that pleased the taste buds of everyone. Emily and Maria were so easy to communicate with and work with, even on short notice. We had enchiladas and a salad... which sounds like it might be boring, but the sweet potatoes in the enchiladas made them a little different and really delicious and the salad knocked the socks off of all of us (sugared cranberries!). Highly recommend.

I've been to enough weddings to know that the food isn't always the most memorable or best part of the night. So when we met with Emily at Food for Thought for a tasting, and were blown away by the flavors and freshness of the menu, we were still convinced it probably wouldn't be as good on the night of our wedding. Amazingly, it was better than we remembered! We received so many compliments about the food, it clearly exceeded our guests' expectations, and what more can you ask for? A big thank you to Emily and the chef. Oh, and the pastry chef! You must try their pastries and

My husband and I live in Houston but wanted to have a destination wedding in Montana. We didn't have the extra money to fly up to Bozeman prior to the wedding for tastings, so we pretty much had to wing it. After looking at the menu from Food for Thought, I prayed that the food would turn out as good it sounded. With reasonable pricing, we were hoping for a slam dunk -- especially since people tend to always remember the food at a wedding.

The food, was in fact, wonderful. The portions were huge so no one went hungry. Definitely a great value for the price. The staff was a pleasure to work

My (now) husband and I hired Food for Thought for our wedding dinner! We had the idea of Breakfast for Dinner (cause, honestly, who doesn't love breakfast?) and Emily was more than willing to craft a beautiful menu at a completely reasonable price. They went above and beyond on the actual day- providing things that weren't in the contract cause they were incredibly considerate, providing excellent service, and gave us the option (which we definitely chose) to have a professional bartender. I have a lot of silly dietary restrictions (thanks, allergies!) and FFT was more than willing to

Food for Thought provided the salads for my sons graduation party. He graduated from Montana state and we live on the east coast. Food for Thought was wonderful in helping me plan this party long distance. The food was absolutely delicious. They use quality ingredients and exceptional seasoning with unique and delicious flavor combinations. The food arrived well wrapped and they provided clear instruction for heating and toppings.

Where Food For Thought shines, is in their catering. I hired them to cater my 150 person wedding. Jennifer, the owner/manager was always available to communicate, was punctual and very reliable. Most importantly the food was AMAZING. I have received compliments upon compliments about how perfectly our beef tenderloin and stuffed chicken were cooked, and how fresh and exciting all of the side dishes were. I cant say enough about how pleased I have been with Food For Thoughts performance at our wedding. I would recommend them highly.

I've been to this sandwich shop several times, and this is what I've experienced:
Good-
1) great atmosphere, location, and art
2) tasty food items; great fruit salad, curried tuna salad, soup

The not-so-good-
1)On more than one occasion the staff has been disgruntled, with a "it's not my job" mentality.
2)They are often out of items-curried tuna, avocado, etc. This seems to be a regular occurrence, and is frustrating for regular patrons. I am not a restauranteur, but it seems like inventory needs to be monitored a little closer.
3) My sandwich today (The Veggie) was like

Picked up a lunch to go and we enjoyed the sandwiches but things could have gone better. They were out of avocado, wheat bread, and prosciutto and all of those were listed with the sandwiches that we really wanted. Seems like most places would send someone down the street to pick a few things up from the market. My sandwich came with "Sweet and Spicy Slaw", which had absolutely no hint of spice to it. Soup of the day was good, but a bit too oily for our taste. And it had garlic in its name but not in its flavor profile. Pesto on the "Turkey Pesto" was very good. Thankfully

We ordered food for my baby's baptisim luncheon and it was sooo good. We had the chicken pot pie casserole, polenta bake with Italian sausage, fruit salad and Greek salad. Everything tasted so fresh and not over seasoned. It was simply good food. Also, they were very easy to get ahold of,reasonably priced and helped me plan the menu. I highly recommend this place!

Smoked turkey sandwich was Ok. Nothing special about this place - only one other person in there during lunch. Also, the girl used bare hands when making my sandwich, which was odd. Overall, sandwich tasted Ok, but probably wouldn't go back.

Food For Thought has some very delicious sandwiches, from the old standards to more unique items, like my personal favorite, the Mozzarella with prosciutto. What makes it stand above other delis is that they use very fresh, quality ingredients which are lacking even from local delis. They also have a wide selection of foods, with about 20 sandwiches, various rotating items like crab cakes and Asian meatballs, and a good selection of sweet pastries.

The atmosphere is great, with local art on display, eclectic music, plenty of seating, and an abundance of sunlight pouring in.

I ate at this deli while visiting a friend in Bozeman. My friend works at the Museum of the Rockies across the street and says great things about this deli and the premium quality of the meats and ingredients they use. I was with three friends from out of town and we all loved our sandwiches. I had a turkey on focaccia with thick cut, yummy bacon and an awesome avocado spread. The bread was fresh and delicious! Another friend had a ham and brie sandwich (with a gorgeous slice of fresh brie on it), which looked amazing! The sandwiches came in a trendy tin tray and I really enjoyed the presentation
