Services
A core strengthening, muscle lengthening, body balancing exercise method that pairs few repetitions with alignment-focused movements and coordinated breath. Each exercise focuses not only on overall strength, but also on lengthening the body as a whole - giving joints traction and muscles elongation and tone.
Gyrotonic exercises focus simultaneously on stretching the spine, expanding the breath, lengthening the limbs, and deepening the core. Created by Juliu Horvath initially as a rehabilitation practice for himself, Gyrotonic exercise is also extremely healing, balancing, and feels natural to the body.

I have been a student of Petie Russo since 2005. I began with Pilates classes and am currently taking Gyrokinesis and Gyrotonic classes with Petie in her Kingston Physique studio.
The studio itself is beautiful with reclaimed wood and many plants that thrive in all of the natural light that filters through a wall of many windows. The studio is large and feels open even with all of the Pilates, Barre and Gyrotonic apparatus Petie has. She has it arranged beautifully, and even built in places for mats and small equipment to be stored nearly. The audio is always clean and fresh. Sometimes Petie will

Petie is an amazing instructor as she knows so much about how the body works. Even with my injuries, she always finds a way for me to engage in an exercise, and can alter it which allows me to feel empowered. I mostly take the gyrotonic sessions, and 100% of the time leave feeling so much better than when I walked through the door. I've been going for 2 years and was intimidated to walk in at first, but now I so look forward to my workouts with Petie.
