Tic Summer Camp
TIC Summer Camp seeks to create an inclusive and encouraging environment that provides a healthy mind and body balance through collaboration, creativity, and growth. Kids, ages 7 to 15, come to TIC to explore technology, but they also get personal attention, confidence building, and the opportunity to test the reaches of their creativity.

Our unique model allows campers to exercise both their mind and body with equal half days of technology and athletics! How we execute the combination of activities provides a balanced, powerful end product, that is not only about gaining knowledge, but the quality of the journey and the memories and skills created along the way.
Services
TIC believes in having an inclusive, encouraging environment that provides a healthy mind-body balance through collaboration, creativity, and growth. Mind-Body Balance: Our program structure evenly splits the day between in-depth Technology instruction and active, confidence-building athletic activities.
Being "inclusive" means fostering a camp environment and culture that works to actively remove barriers for participation, systems of inequity, and the reinforcement of stereotypes. This is an on-going process that we continually evaluate and change.

Neurodiversity: Multiple methods of communicating schedules and information to campers and families, extensive staff training on learning styles, an attempt to accommodate all of our camper's learning needs.Gender Equity: GROW, all-gender restroom options, regular use of pronouns, extensive staff training on gender equity.
Update: Due to guidance from our local health departments that requires us to maintain cohorts at all times, we are not able to offer Grow this summer. We look forward to starting Grow Club again (as well as some NEW affinity & special interest groups!) in 2022. If you have any specific questions regarding the program, please contact Tabitha Glading (tabitha@ticcamp.com).
Because of our 4:1 teaching ratio and the supportive nature of our staff, TIC has had success with children who have mild learning disabilities (dyslexia, ADD, ADHD). We have also served children with physical disabilities e.g. While we do our best to accommodate every child, the best way to help us ensure we are providing our services most effectively is to communicate early and often with our year-round staff and Directors!
Due to the pandemic, we have seen families near and far being negatively impacted- especially financially. As a consequence, there are members of our community who may not be able to attend camp this summer due to financial constraints. TIC normally self-funds the financial aid for campers, but like many individuals, we have also been impacted financially.
