Inspire: Whether it's a trip to the Washington Monument or a lesson from our yoga instructor, our campers have many opportunities to pursue passions and discover new ones.
At camp, all projects are hands-on, and kids are free to choose what activity they want to work on. Every day, we hold a morning meeting where the counselors announce what activities they're doing, and children are invited to add their own activities to the schedule. We provide 8 - 10 activities per day for kids to do.
We will provide the highest quality summer camp and are looking for the most qualified staff for our summer camp positions. Adventures on the Hill has been a great summer camp for our family! My 5 year old has gone there for 2 years straight and will be there again this summer, while my 3 year old will attend for the first time this year. The program director is super responsive to all questions—big and small—and can be reached by many methods (email, phone, and even the chat window on the website). Camp staff is very friendly and is great with the kids. The themed weeks (e.g., cooking, STEM, travel to different countries) provide a variety of fun and engaging experiences to keep my daughter excited about learning

We sent our 8 year old and 9 year old to Adventure on the Hill Camp - Takoma Park Campus in the Summer of 2019 and we definitely plan on returning for the Summer of 2020. The staff was very friendly and had a great rapport with the children. I loved the fact that each week had a theme and we received a schedule for the week before the week even started. The children were engaged all day long whether they were on-site or off-site for a field trip. Every single day at pick-up, they had an exciting story to tell! The hours were fantastic and the location was very convenient as it allowed me to access

In the spirit of fairness, I have no knowledge of this camp, but the one-star review was apparently given on the first day of operations of a new business (and possibly from a rival business).
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy; let's not push the baby over when she's taking her first steps.
