Atlas Chrome plating, Polishing and powder coating is located in Houston Texas. The original name of the company was B&B Plating which was changed to Atlas Plating in 1988. Atlas Plating was the first company in Houston which started chroming Aluminium motorcycle wheels in early 90s. Atlas Plating is specialized in plating Aluminium and pot metal.
As a custom job shop Atlas Plating has a wide range of customers and projects. Although our main line of business is car and motorcycle parts, We have been involve in numerous industrial and architectural projects. Atlas plating offers different finishes for architectural projects. If you have a sample please send it in for evaluation We are capable of creating similar effects.
Atlas Chrome Plating uses different processes for striping the old plating. We can de-plate the parts which are covered by Chrome, Nickel, Copper, Brass, Gold, etc. without damaging the base metal. We also strip paint off the parts. If you have a cracked or broken wheel it has to be stripped first before any welding.
This price list covers Yamaha Stratoliner, Road liner, Stryker, Road star, V-Star and Vmax or similar form Honda and Kawasaki. For cost of Powder Coating, Color Chrome or Polishing you can contact us directly. In general never sand blast Aluminum parts before shipping them, we do all the stripping with Aluminum safe strippers.

I was so glad I found a plating shop that was willing to do small orders!
I had a vintage bicycle headset that needed to be nickel plated against the hawaiian salt air and Atlas was able to put a thick coat of nickel on all 3 pieces.
the turn around was also very quick and I'm very happy with their communication and work, they were even able to ship it via the carrier I requested.

Wow, called to find out about black chrome and ended up with lengthy explanations that made no sense. Talked about no such thing, etc. I've had it done before but company went out of business so trying to find new one. Was very unhelpful and vague. "Can do nickel satin finish that is kind of like, nobody has black chrome, blah, blah, blah." Please be more helpful to customers, we call you because we expect you to know.

We use Atlas plating as part of our business. They always finish the job on time and on budget and their work is perfect. We shopped around somewhat prior to settling on Atlas and they had the best price and their owner was friendly and helpful on selecting the right finish for our product. We do about 300 pieces a week and never had a quality problem.
