Center For Dermatology-Cosmetic & Laser Surgery
As one of the longest established and largest dermatology practices in Northern California, we have been providing quality medical and cosmetic services for more than four decades. We provide state-of-the-art treatment for all dermatologic conditions. Board-certified dermatologists, registered nurses, licensed physician assistants, and licensed aestheticians comprise our exceptional team.

Our physicians are all on the teaching faculty at Stanford and continue to update their skills at national and international professional meetings. Our nurses and aestheticians also continue to further their expertise through seminars, training courses, and other educational endeavors. Continuing education for all providers is important because dermatology is a rapidly evolving field.
Services
At the Center for Dermatology, our professionals are here to help patients with medical, cosmetic, and general dermatology concerns. The group has committed their facility to assisting others. Our team combined has many years of experience, while our primary doctor is also educating current dermatology and medical students and residents to help improve the quality of treatment for future generations!
Molly has 10 years' experience as a licensed esthetician specializing in medical dermatological aesthetics. She is professionally trained with modern skin care products and skin treatments, Dermasweep microdermabrasions, with infusions, Glycolic peels and Skinmedica peels. She specializes in a range of skin disorders, such as, hyperpigmentation, acne, fine lines and wrinkles.
If you or a loved one struggle with acne, you know how frustrating it can be. However, at the Center for Dermatology Cosmetic & Laser Surgery, clearer skin is achievable! Our dermatologists, Dr. Robert Roth, Dr. Shurong Chang, and Dr. Sunil Dhawan, compassionately assess patients to arrive at treatment plans which really work.
Acne can unfortunately lead to significant scarring. Scars can vary in size and appearance. Atrophic scars are shallow, while ice pick scars are deep and narrow. Patients with darker skin might notice pigmentary changes around the scars, while fair-skinned patients may develop redness. Some situations may make acne scars even worse, including picking, squeezing the blemish, and sun exposure.
To determine the best form of treatment, it is necessary to distinguish between the various types of eczema and make a proper diagnosis. Atopic dermatitis is the most severe form, and it can begin as soon as infancy and carry through to adulthood. Other patients may only experience flare-ups of eczema when they are exposed to an irritant, such as dust, soap, smoke, solvents, certain fabrics, specific foods, bleach, and detergents.

The office ran politely and efficiently and I was given all the information I needed from start to finish. There was plenty of space for social distancing in the waiting room despite a large number of patients being attended to. Dr. Chang is just lovely and makes you feel informed and at ease. She exudes a kind and empathetic manner. Her assistant was efficient and helpful. Top marks all round.

We would like to thank doctor Gladstone and his staff for the wonderful treatment he and his staff performed, we were in and out of his office and my mom is healing quickly. Mom had a small growth next to her nose and doctor Gladstone was able to remove it quickly.
Thank you Center For Dermatology for the service you have provided our family.

Unfortunately one of the worst clinics I have ever been to in last 20 years. I was referred by my PCP, called the office to provide my insurance information and confirmed appointment. When I arrived at the office and showed the digital insurance id card, they said that it is not a valid insurance card even though I had used the same insurance at my PCP. I called my insurance, put them on speaker phone the representative verified my insurance. Then they told me that they can't see since they insurance information has not been updated in their system. Here are the problems:

Patrizia Visconti is amazing! My family and I have been seeing her for 4 years now. Every time we go we are greeted by Leslie, Patrizia’s assistant. Both of them are a Dynamic Duo.
Patrizia is attentive, passionate about her patients, always listen to how you feel, and we go home feeling truly happy. No doubt that we found the best care. The worries we have prior to seeing her are gone once we leave her office. Our family was treated for skin problems (rosacea and eczema), hair loss, moles/warts that might have to be checked on, and anything really.
We would highly recommend seeing her for

Not a great experience with practitioner Patrizia. I thought I have booked an appointment for Sunil dawan but my virtual assistant made some mistake. I had an appointment for hair loss and acne. Just suggested rogaine and differin which I already knew. They didn't even examine me. There were no other instructions. deep anaylsis/examine of my current state is not done properly. There were no suggestions given for shampoo or any similar hair care suggestions and same output for of acne care.
Suggestions of medicine and other tips were better in Google research
My questions were not properly

I wrote my review the day I had my appt but somehow it's not showing up so I'm writing a new one worse than the 1st one due to my review not showing up! I'm a new patient and I was asked to come in 15 mins early and I did. My appt was at 9:30am and I arrived at 9:15am. At 10:30am I asked was I going to be seen or not and the MA said she would check. It was freezing sitting outside keep in mind. I wasn't called in until 11:20am for a 5 min consultation. I was very unhappy about that. The Nurse Practitioner apologized, said she didn't know what happened to cause me to have had to wait for so long

Patriza Visconti was terrific. I have been seeing her for two years and she still is amazing. She answers all my questions and makes me feel at ease in every situation (with or without clothes). However, I told her that I have been giving her good reviews but she responded she only hears amount the bad ones. If you want to motivate an employee, you must provide positive feedback. While it is true that bad reviews may help correct certain issues many times, they are unfounded and the patient just doesn’t like what they hear. My next appointment is August 19, 2021 and I plan to ask Patriza if she

I wish I had made this review a long time ago. The doctor is a good doctor but he, along with his receptionists, are extremely rude and unprofessional. All they care about is your money. I had to get my blister removed so I got an authorization from my primary physician (I have HMO). However, the blister wasn't fully removed so I asked for another appointment but they told me I needed another authorization and pay more copayments. Maybe if Dr. Dawan wasn't so rushed, he would've gotten the wart removed the first time.

Another thing, my uncle was late for his appointment by only

I have been a patient of Dr. Dhawan for a while now and have been very pleased by my results. I went to him for really bad acne and he is a miracle worker in making my skin 99% better (I still have a breakout now and then nothing too bad) i have to admit he is always booked a few months out (means he must be good) but in a emergency he will fit you in. I had a spider bite that got worse over the weekend and urgent care (only place open) advised me to go to a dermatologist ASAP. I called Monday morning and he made sure to see me within a hour. He is one of the best!!!

I felt the dr and his staff was very unprofessional. He made a racial mark towards me. I will not support a medical establishment that treats their patients this way. I would advice you NOT to come here.

Sunil Dhawan is an excellent doctor (5*) although he does seem quite rushed (and may multi-task between patients).

However, their billing department is extremely RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I had called to request refund of copay overpayment (since I had maxed out out-of-pocket expense for insurance). The billing lady told me I hadn't made any payments the last two visits. I said I had copay receipt. She told me to fax it in. I asked how they can not have a record of this? She then said it was applied to my last visit, which I didn't make any payment. I asked 1) why she's changing

Their billing department is RUDE and DISORGANIZED. Front desk didn't allow me to see doctor until co-pay had paid. They have never sent bill to us and expected us to know the balance . We have 10% co-pay of the charge which is different from one visit to another visit. Their technology is out of date, you can't go on line to pay bill or review your account and they expected customer to know how much we still owe. From office in Milpitas to billing office in Fremont, there is no link together for the same account. We give them credit card number to pay for co-payment, they charged twice

I've been seen by Dr. Dhawan since about 1991 with good results. He's courteous, professional, interested in the welfare of his patients, and yes, often cool and efficient with his time. As to the reviews that deny him as a medical professional multiple stars because of a problem with the front office, I think that's wrong. Ding him a star maybe for problems with the front office (I've personally never had problems with them). But knocking a top notch dedicated expert more than that doesn't seem right to me.

I really don't know where to start with this review. From the poor service I received upon check in, the 8 months I used a prescription cream for a skin flaw that never improved but got worse, to them not telling me there was an issue with my insurance until I got to my appointment or always having to wait in an appointment room anywhere from 30 minutes to a hour before Dr. Dhawan came in to see me for maybe ten minutes max. I winded up finding a new Dermatologist in Los Gatos who is open on some Saturdays, very hospitable and knowledgeable. Almost a year of my time on a skin flaw that

Not a review of Dr. Dhawan's prowess as a doctor! Because I couldn't get past the receptionist who was extremely rude and unprofessional. Wasted so much of my time in gathering my information while I kept asking her to check if she has anything available. No point collecting all my information unless you have an appointment to give me. So I politely ask her to check and she gets extremely annoyed and says - " I don't have anything available - ok- I don't! "

What kind of unprofessional behavior is that? Sorry Dr. Dhawan, you may be a good and busy doctor but not for

When I met Dr. Dhawan the first time, I had 'pimples' all over my face and I regretted not taking a family portrait since I feared my face was scarred for life. This was almost 8 years ago. My PCP recommended Dr. Dhawan. With just one visit, he diagnosed my problem and got it fixed within a month - initially with stronger medication and then toned it down gradually and now I seldom have the topical medicine! He is very caring, friendly but still vey professional. I would strongly recommend Dr. Dhawan to anyone that has acute dermatology issues and want miracles to happen.

Dr. Dhawan is part of the Center for Dermotolgist. It's a center (an office in Fremont too) with about 3-6 dermatologist. The office if very busy. I see Dr. Sunil. I believe he is one of the busiest doctors there, why because he's GOOD!

Why 4 stars?
1. The front desk is very accommodating; they will try their best to get you an appointment. BUT, because there are so many of them, the communication among the doctor and front desk sucks. They booked me an appointment, then called me again to book the same appointment (????) so they lack communication because they are not all on the same
