Services
More than a sports camp, Greenwoods is a community focused on inclusion and character development. Whether you are a competitive athlete, a musician, or love water sports. Greenwoods encourages boys to gain a sense of independence, but that does not mean they are doing it on their own. Our counselors, coaches and directors support and encourage boys every step of the way.
We provide an encouraging atmosphere where campers are challenged to take healthy risks and form authentic relationships with peers and counselors. Each camper is respected as an important member of our community, and together, we celebrate differences and achievements. Campers create their own activity schedules, with parent input, to tailor an experience that fuels their interests and ignites their passions.
Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods has been our home away from home since we were both 10 years old. Together, we have over 60 years of camp experience; we spent summers as campers, counselors and now directors of our camp. Since 1935, Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods have helped children discover new passions and learn valuable life skills, and prepared them to be successful in life.
We believe that any camp is only as good as its people. This is why we select only the finest counselors to guide and care for our campers. Our mature and dynamic staff are chosen from students, graduates and teachers from schools all over the world. Each year we receive over 1,800 applications and select fewer than 10% of the applicants to serve on our staff.
Meal time is family time at our camp! Our chefs work together to provide a delicious and nutritious menu. Dining is family style, and campers sit with their cabin group and counselors at each meal. In addition to the main course we have an "options" room in our dining hall featuring breakfast bars, salad bars at lunch and dinner, a pasta bar at dinner, and a gluten-free bar at every meal.

I spend all of my summers on this lake at the campground next to the camp. We have called the police multiple times on the camp due to HORRIBLE boat and sail boat drivers. I have been almost hit by the camps speedboats tubing, kayaking, and boating multiple times during all of my summers. We even went as far to talk to the head of water sports at the camp. The children behind the camps boats are not safe, and every one out on the lake is not safe either.

Everyone that goes here has a great time. From the amazing tennis program to the waterfront to the recording studio, there's something for everyone here. That's just the activities. Then there are the people. The counselors and the lifelong friends you make. Quoting multiple campers "My life centers around camp...the friendships and memories I've made will last a lifetime". You won't regret coming to any of the Greenwoods/Lake of the Woods Camps.

It is the best place on earth. I have experienced this camp from the camper, counselor, and administrative perspective. In each role I have seen how deeply each child is cared for and the time that is taken to make sure the needs of each child and parent are met. The facilities and instructors are spectacular allowing the campers to learn new skills and improve every summer. The campus directors know every child personally making the camp feel small and safe for the campers. It not only gave me my favorite childhood memories but it has also impacted my adult life.
