Uwharrie Lumber Company is located in central Montgomery County, in the town of Troy, NC. Tram Lumber, LLC, which was acquired in 2007, is located in southern Randolph County, near the town of Seagrove, NC. Working together, we have created a market to best utilize everything growing on your land. The two mills have been producing hardwood lumber from standing timber for over 30 years.
We process high end grade logs, cross ties and low grade logs, as well as pallet logs, and pulpwood. This allows us to buy logs and pay top dollar for your timber. We are members of the North Carolina Forestry Association (NCFA) and have two North Carolina registered foresters on staff.

Services
In 1983, three local businessmen came together to fill a void in the local lumber business. While there were several pine mills in the area there was a shortage of good hardwood markets. We are fortunate to live in an area of abundant renewable resources that include both pine and hardwood. The best way to sustain a viable forest is to have a viable market and that's what has been perpetuated at Uwharrie Lumber Company.
It is our mission to acquire the natural renewable resources necessary to manufacture and distribute the best products attainable for our lumber markets. Our companies have combined to be able to give you the best markets for your hardwood timber. With our ability to utilize all merchantable timber, from small diameter pulpwood and pallet wood, to larger crossties and grade logs, we can pay top prices directly to the landowners.
